Oshro Dah-o Nim (A Study on One of the Financial Terms of the Safavid Era)

Records are one of the valuable historical resources of the Safavid Era which may shed light on many historical ambiguities of this era, including financial issues about which there is a shortage of information resources. This paper studies the information of the Oshro Dah-o Nim records available in the Astan Qods Razavi Library with an analytic approach and in two different sections. In one section it studies the form, content and various information values of records and in the other it studies issues such as the meaning and concept of Oshro Dah-o Nim in the Safavid Era, where it was received, how it was spent etc. The findings of this research show that most of the information available in the Oshro Dah-o Nim records is not mentioned anywhere else and these records are the only valuable resources in this regard. The informa¬tion found in these records can be used by researchers as a valuable resource to study different aspects of the administrative and financial history of this era.
