Geopolitical Interests and National Strategy. Case Study: Iran towards central Asia.

Understanding outside environment and considering the rivals role in such environment and also determining Capabilities and prioritizing the interests and benefits, are most important measures for formulating and selecting the optimal strategy. The current paper is within framework for responding the questions that in its first step clarifies the role making of the I.R. of Iran based on geopolitical interests for following the National interests and objectives in central Asia region. Then, by presenting a model with the aim at explaining and understanding mutual relations, geopolitical interests and national strategy, the strategic policies are suggested as basic considerations in formulating national strategy for common understanding of all sections in the region. For this purpose, through-precise understanding the research environment and through taking an example the creating models by researcher, the field of gaps and contradictions rooted from rivalries of actors in different levels of power and structural homogeneities among the countries of that field and Iran and dependent potentials of those countries to Iran are studied. Also by using two methodologies of field and library, and by referring to the views of experts and intellectuals of Iran and regional Countries and analyzing the presented views, the questions of research are examined. In the end, strategic suggestions rooted from research results, have been presented for preparing the grounds and coordina-ting the efforts in political, economic, cultural and defense-security programs. This trend is followed for this purpose that through suitable role making, while the interests of the I.R. of Iran in the central Asia region is increased, the geopolitical balance be changed in line with the interests of Iran and regional friendly countries through geopolitical and sustainable fundamental opportune- ties.
