Effects of Political Culture on Political Participation of Women and Students

In the present study, using the descriptive-analytical approach, an attempt is made to demonstrate the effects of political culture on political participation of women and students. The main hypothesis of this article is that although, through the ages, components of political culture in Iran namely, commanding and following culture, lack of forbearance, tolerance, violence, escaping from politics, have caused decrease in the political participation of women and students, in particular point of time in the history, political participation has been increased. The case is constitutional revolution in which practical political participation was increased to the extent that even women started their political activities for the first time. In particular, at the time of Islamic revolution, political participation of women was taken off. At this time, women, for the first time played an equal role with men in revolution. In fact, this revolution was the expression of increased political participation although it has gradually been decreased.
