The study of Histomorphogenesis of the chemical lingual papilla in one-humped camel

The aim of this study is determining process of lingual tissue development in camel foetus. The study was observation and descriptive type and was done on 51 camel foetuses from 2 till 13 month of age in both sexes.(male&female). The desired samples were collected by random sampling. The crown- rump length of collected foetus (CRL) were measured,. The tongue of the foetus was separated from its head after fixation in 10% formalin and transported to anatomic laboratory.They were surveyed for sampling under anatomic microscope for observation of growth area and development of lingual papillae. The separated samples were examined under light microscope after histological processing, serial sectioning and routin staining (H&E). The result of macroscopic evalution shown that in 3 month of gestation the first fungiform and vallate papillae were formed, in 3.5 month of gestation the first taste buds were expressed in fungiform and vallate papillae.and lingual gland were obsereved at this month.in 4 month of gestation it is possible to differentiation between taste bud cells and more development of the lingual papillae was shown after that time.in 4/5 month lingual structure developed, the result show that chemical papillae differentiated after mechanical papillae and lingual papillae beging to keratinized before birth so there is not any relationship between feeding habitates and keratinization.
