The Relationship among Locus of control, Perfectionism and Self-Efficacy with Test Anxiety and Academic Performance in the Students of the Islamic Azad University

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship among Locus of control, perfectionism and self-efficacy with test anxiety and academic performance in the students of the Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz. The sample consisted of 340 students of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz who were selected by stratified random sampling from different colleges. The instruments for gathering data were including: Ahvaz Perfectionism Scale, Locus of Control Inventory, Self-Effi-cacy Scale, Test Anxiety Inventory and average of scores as the indicator of academic performance. This is a correlative study and for analyzing data canonical correlation and multiple regression were used. The result Of testing hypotheses showed that there exists canonical correlation equal with 0.66 between the collection of predictive variables and the colletion of criterion variables, also the result indicated that only test anxiety but not academic performance is predictable through perfectionism, internal locus of control and self- efficacy.
