اختلال پردازش شنيداري (مركزي) در آسيب‌شناسي گفتار و زبان

(Central) Auditory processing disorder in speech and language pathology

چكيده مقدمه: مهارت‌هاي پردازش شنيداري پايه شنيدن، ارتباط و يادگيري را فراهم مي‌كنند و نقايص مربوط به آن باعث اشكالات ارتباطي و به خصوص مشكلات تحصيلي در كودكان مي‌شود. آگاهي از علايم اين اختلال، روند ارزيابي و مداخلات درماني مناسب در حيطه مسووليت‌هاي آسيب‌شناسان گفتار و زبان و شنوايي شناسان است و عدم آگاهي نسبت به وظايف حرفه‌اي باعث سردرگمي در تشخيص و درمان ناكارآمد مي‌شود. هدف از اين مقاله پاسخ‌دهي به تعدادي از سوالات رايج آسيب‌شناسان گفتار و زبان در زمينه ماهيت، تشخيص و درمان APD (C) و همچنين جلوگيري از استفاده نادرست از اين اصطلاح مي‌باشد. به علاوه سعي مي‌شود كه مسووليت‌هاي حرفه‌اي آسيب‌شناسان گفتار و زبان نيز در اين زمينه تبيين شود. مواد و روش‌ها: اين مقاله مروري است بر آخرين مقالات و كتاب‌هاي منتشر شده در زمينه اختلال پردازش شنيداري (مركزي) كه در پايگاه‌هاي اطلاعاتي Pubmed، Ebsco،Proquest ،Google scholar ،Thieme ، Science direct و Ashaو همچنين در منابع كتابخانه‌اي مورد جستجو قرار گرفت. نتيجه‎گيري: پردازش شنيداري فرايندي پيچيده است و آسيب‌شناسان گفتار و زبان در زمينه غربال‌گري، تشخيص افتراقي و درمان افراد مبتلا به APD (C) نقش مهمي را به عهده دارند و اين متخصصان به خصوص در هنگام وجود مشكلات يادگيري و يا توجه در كودكان مدرسه‌رو، بايستي احتمال وجود APD (C) را مد نظر قرار دهند.

Introduction: Auditory processing skills are critical for listening, communicating and learning and when defective, they can cause academic problems in addition to other communication weaknesses in children. Awareness of CAPD symptoms and knowing how to assess and treat it appropriately are all in the scope of speech and language pathology and audiology and lack of such awareness and knowledge may lead to confusion in diagnosis and to inefficient treatment. The purpose of this study was to address some of the questions commonly raised by speech and language pathologists regarding to the nature, diagnosis and treatment of (C) APD and to prevent misuse of the term. Moreover the author tried to explain the responsibilities of speech and language pathologists in this area. Materials and Methods: A review of the latest literature on the subject of (central) auditory processing disorders was performed using PUBMED, EBSCO, SCIENCE DIRECT, ASHA, GOOGLE SCHOLAR, THIEME, PROQUEST data bases and library sources. Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that auditory processing was a complex process and speech and language pathologists had an important role in screening, differential diagnosis and treatment of (C) APD. Speech and language pathologists should consider the possibility of (C) APD as they encounter school-age children experiencing learning disability.
