Undeotandius the quality and nutritive composition of foodstuff is important for effectable animal and poultry use of them in proper nutrition. Therefor, in this study, the nutritive value of five varietie of faba bean (Vicia faba); Barackat, Shami, Shakhbozi, Saraziri and Zohre that are available in Khozestan province was determined using standard methods. Traits included in this study were metabolizable energy, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, dry matter and gross energy. For determining metabolizable energy, force feeding method (Sibbald) with a completely randomized design with 6 treatment and 6 replication was used. The dry matter(%), cude fat(%), crude protein (%), crude fiber(%) and gross energy (kcal/g) were 89.77, 1.75, 28.44, 8.01and 4.51 for Barackat varietie; 93.24, 2.31, 28.71, 8.18 and 4.46 for Shami varietie; 91.49, 2.2, 27.66, 7.5 and 4.45 for Shakhbozi varietie; 91.86, 2.65, 25.33, 7.6 and 4.47 for Saraziri varietie; 92.48, 1.51, 27.27, 7.63 and 4.15 for Zohre varietie, respectively. The AME, AMEn, TME and TMEn (kcal/g) values for Barackat, Shami, Shakhbozi, Saraziri and Zohre varietie were 2.126, 2.462, 2.633, 2.632; 2.193, 2.452, 2.695, 2.633; 2.470, 2.687, 2.957, 2.877; 2.625, 2.850, 3.066, 3.048 and 2.392, 2.643, 2.876 ,2.817, respectively. Furthermore the results from mean comparision indicate a significant differences between Saraziri and Barackat for AME, Saraziri with Barackat and Shami for AMEn, Saraziri and Barackat for TME, Saraziri with Barackat and Shami for TMEn value (p < 0.05).
