Anthropologic Interpretation of the Dragon Myth And the Repetitive Motifof Dragon-Slaying in Mythology

اژدها و مبارزه قهرمان با آن، يكي از مهم ترين و تكرارشونده ترين بن مايه ها در روايات اساطيري و حماسي تشرّف ايزدان و پهلوانان است كه نمودهاي آن در اغلب فرهنگ هاي اساطيري جهان يافت مي شود و تكرار آن، تكرار الگوي تلاشي مقدّس براي نظم بخشيدن به جهان در عصر آشفتگي است؛ تلاشي كه پيروزي در آن، متضمّن بازگشت نور و باران به طبيعت و بشارت دهنده بركت و فراواني و امنيّت براي مردم است. در اين جستار، اسطوره اژدها در دو بُعد ساخت بيروني و دروني مورد بررسي قرارگرفته است: بعد بيروني اسطوره اژدها، براساس نشانه هاي طبيعي و تاريخي، با تمركز بر نقش محوري نمايه "مار"- به عنوان نمونه طبيعي مرگ و نابودي- و جاندارانگاري حوادثي چون توفان، زلزله و آتشفشان شكل گرفته است و بعد دروني آن، از منظري انسان شناختي و با تكيه بر تحليل روان شناختي يونگ از اين اسطوره، نماينده نيمه تاريك ناخودآگاه انسان است كه جلوه بيروني يافته است. قهرمان بر سايه درون خويش چيره مي شود تا ضمن رسيدن به فرديّت متعالي و كمال بشري، زمينه نجات طبيعت و مردم خود را نيز فراهم سازد.

Dragon and the Heroʹs battle with it is one of the most important and most repeated motifs in epic-mythological narratives about goddess and athleteʹs initiation, which is found in many of the mythical cultures of the world. The repeat of this motif symbolizes the repeat of a pattern to forge the holy order for the world after the era of turbulence. Victoryʹs hero in this battle ensures the return of light and rain to the nature and enunciates the good tidings and blessings, as well as fundamental frequency and security to the people. In this paper, we analyze the dragon myth in external and internal dimensions: the external dimension of the dragon myth is based on the natural-historical symptoms and is focused on the central role of a "snake"; a natural showing of death and destruction and an animistic interpretation of phenomena like flood, earthquake and geyser. In anthropologic approach – especially from psychological Jungʹs analysis– the internal dimension of the dragonʹs myth represents the dark side of the unconscious that has been displayed outwards. While the hero overcomes his "shadow," he achieves the transcendental individuality and perfection of human and he will save the nature and their people.
