Velayat-e Faqih in the Political Thought of Akhund Khorasani

برخي از معتقدين به فرهنگ و سياست غرب، با حضور احكام و عالمان دين در صحنه‌هاي اجتماعي وسياسي جامعه مخالف بوده‌اند. با توجّه به اهميّت اصل ولايت فقيه در اسلام و نقش ويژه آن در پيشبرد اهداف والاي جامعه اسلامي، تا حدّ زيادي مي‌توان دلايل بروز حساسيت‌ها از سوي موافقان و مخالفان آن را درك نمود. از اين رو فقهاي شيعه، به مناسبات گوناگون، در كتب فقهي خويش، اين مهم را مطرح كرده و به بوته نقد و بررسي نهاده‌اند. از جمله نظراتي كه درباره ولايت فقيه عنوان شده است و از سوي موافقان و مخالفان كاوش گرديده، ديدگاه مرحوم آخوند‌خراساني است. لذا مقاله حاضر به تدقيق در آرا وي كه به طور پراكنده در آثارش مطرح گرديده، پرداخته است و به اين سوال پاسخ مي‌دهد كه: حيطه اختيارات ولي‌فقيه از ديدگاه مرحوم آخوند خراساني تا چه ميزان مي‌باشد. بدين منظور خوانش‌هاي متفاوت از ديدگاه آخوند درخصوص ادلّه نقلي و عقلي بر اثبات حكومت براي فقيه و حدود اختياراتش مورد كنكاش قرار گرفته است. بررسي صورت گرفته دلالت برآن دارد كه: ايشان ولايت فقيه در امور حسبيه و ولايت عامه فقيه (ولايت سياسي فقيه) را پذيرفته است.

Some proponents of western culture and politics have time and again expressed their disapproval of the involvement of religious principles or scholars in social and political affairs. Because of the importance of the principle of velayat-e faqih in Islam and its special role in advancing the major goals of the Islamic society, we can understand the reasons behind all the sensitivities of its proponents and opponents. That is why the Shia jurists have on various occasions brought up the subject in their books of jurisprudence for more analysis. Among these we can point out the much debated ideas of Akhund Khorasani. This paper has tried to scrutinize the scattered opinions of his together with various interpretations of them as regards the legitimacy of government at the time of the Absence of the Infallible Imam, the rational arguments to prove the necessity of government under the supervision of faqih, and the scope of faqih’s authority. The article concludes by stating Akhound’s view of the political authority of the faqih (the jurist).
