Evaluation of the influence soil remediation on the behavior of sheet pile quay walls against dynamic loading

The important role of retaining walls in seashore areas and also their weak behavior in time of soil liquefaction caused extensive researches to be done on this subject especially after kobe earthquake (1995 ). In this research the effect of two important parameters, the degree of soil remediation (on the basis of SPT-N value) and the area selected for this purpose, on the behavior of anchored sheep pile quay walls against dynamic loading considering the effect of pore pressure increase and liquefaction in the soil around the wall has been investigated in FLAC software. In this paper, the method of analysis, characteristics of the model, the details of modeling and the results of the analyses has been presented.
