Exploring the extent of Awareness of BS and MS Students in Nursing Discipline of the Patients’ Rights

حقوق بشر از مهم‌ترين حقوق اخلاقي است. در حيطه ارايه مراقبت درماني، قسمتي از حقوق بيمار بر عهده كادرهاي مختلف درماني است و وظيفه اساسي پرسنل، ارايه خدمات مراقبتي به بيماران است. شناخت و رعايت حقوق بيماران توسط پرستاران براي ارتقاي كيفيت مراقبت‌ها و افزايش اعتماد و رضايت بيماران از اهميت خاصي برخورداراست. به همين منظور آگاهي از اين حقوق براي دانشجويان پرستاري ضروري است. هدف از انجام اين پژوهش تعيين آگاهي دانشجويان پرستاري در مقطع كارشناسي و كارشناسي ارشد در مورد رعايت حقوق مددجويان در ابعاد حقوقي (حق احترام، حق قبول يا امتناع ازدرمان، حق رازداري، حق مددجويان در پژوهش‌هاي انساني، حق دسترسي به اطلاعات و حق دريافت خدمات بهداشتي) و مقايسه آگاهي اين دو گروه با يكديگر مي‌باشد.

Human Rights are among the most important moral rights. Within the area of medical care, part of the patient’s rights rests on the shoulders of different curative staffs and the main task of the personnel is to present care services to the patients. The recognition and the observance of the patients’ rights by the nurses enjoy a particular importance for the promotion of the quality of cares and the increase of the patients’ trust and consent. For this purpose, being aware of these rights is necessary for the nursing students. This research aims to determine the extent of the awareness of the nursing students in BS and MS courses with regard to the observance of the help-seekers’ rights in legal dimensions (right to respect, right to accept or refuse treatment, right of confidentiality, help-seekers’ rights in human research, right to access information and right to receive health services) and to compare the awareness of two groups with each other.
