Role of political and official variables in boundary changes of Khorasan, in first 5 centuries after Hijrat

موقعيت مهم خراسان در رويداد‌هاي پنج قرن نخستين اسلامي، پژوهشگر اين حوزه را در مورد مدلول واقعي خراسان در قرون مذكور، به دقت فرامي خواند. اين كه حدود جغرافيايي خراسان، چه تحولاتي به خود ديده است؟ و اين تحولات ،متاثر از چه حوزه‌هايي بوده است؟ مسايلي است كه اين ايالت در اين مقطع از آن، متاثر است. اين مقاله ،در صدد اثبات اين ديدگاه است كه حدود جغرافيايي خراسان در دوره ي مذكور، تابعي از نظام اداري و شرايط سياسي اين ايالت است و با تغيير اين متغيرها، حدود خراسان نيز دچار تحول مي شود. بي توجهي محقق تاريخ اسلام به اين تحولات ،او را در تحليل و بررسي تحولات تاريخي خراسان، به درك نادرست از وقايع ،دچار مي كند. حدود جغرافيايي خراسان در قرن اول و دوم هجري تابعي از نظام اداري عصر ساساني است و با شكل گيري سلسله‌هاي طاهريان و سامانيان در اين ايالت ،تحولاتي متناسب با شرايط سياسي و اداري جديد در خراسان روي مي دهد كه عمده ي آن، تغيير نظام اداري و استقلال ماورا النهر از خراسان است. اين پژوهش به روش تحقيق تاريخي انجام گرفته است و در صدد نشان دادن تحولات حدود جغرافيايي خراسان و دلايل آن است.

The important situation of Khorasan in first 5 Islamic centuries, invites the researcher of this subject to scrutiny concerning the actual model of Khorasan in the centuries aforementioned. Issues like: what changes have been applied to the geographical boundaries of Khorasan? And what were these changes affected by? These are the issues by which that this state has been affected by in this section. This paper tries to prove this point of view that geographical boundaries of Khorasan in the period just mentioned, is a function of official system and political conditions of this state and by changes to these variables, Khorasan’s boundaries will also incur modifications. If the researcher of Islamic history ignores these amendments, he/she will be misled to a false understanding of the events in the analysis of historical changes to Khorasan. Geographical boundaries of Khorasan in first and second Hijri centuries is a function of official system belonging to Sassanid reign and by formation of Taheri and Samani periods in this state, changes relevant to new political and official conditions in Khorasan will occur that most important of them is the change to official system and independence of Transoxiana from Khorasan. This work has been carried out using historical investigation and intends to show modifications of geographical boundaries of Khorasan and their causes.
