چكيده فارسي :
ضحاك (آژي دهاك) همواره اسطوره اي شگفت در ميان شخصيت هاي اساطيري در ادبيات پيش از اسلام بوده است، آيا مي توان دوره مشخص تاريخي براي او جست و يا آنچنان كه اوستا تصوير مي كند او همچنان شخصيتي نيمه اهريمني، نيمه انساني است كه هويت واقعي اش در غبار زمانهاي دوردست ناپيداست؟ اين مقاله سعي دارد پرتوي بر تنديس اين اسطوره كهن بيفكند و از خلال يك مقايسه دقيق نشان دهد كه مشابهتهاي شگفتي ميان آژي دهاك و ديو آز موجود است. ديوي كه در ادبيات زرواني و مانوي پليدترين همدست اهريمن به شمار مي رود. به گواهي برخي از متون پهلوي، بعضي از ديوان، تازش آورنده به بدن آدمي و تسخيركننده روان انسان شمرده شده اند. ضحاك يكي از بارزترين شخصيت هايي است كه تحت تصرف ديو آز قرار گرفته است و اين مسخ تدريجي توسط اهريمن و حلول ديو آز در يك پادشاه بمرور از او يك اژدها پديد آورده است كه از سرشت انساني بكلي فاصله گرفته رفتارهاي ديو آز را – آنگونه كه در اوستا و متون پهلوي تصوير شده – به نمايش مي گذارد.
چكيده لاتين :
Azidahak (zahhak) has always been a strange myth among the other
mythological characters in pre-Islamic Literature. Is it possible to figure out a
specific historical period for his life? Or as Avestaʹs image shows, we should
consider him as a semi-human, semi-monster notion with three ugly heads on his
shoulder? This article tries to put this figure on the spotlight and illuminate his real
face through a rigorous comparison between Domon of AZ and Azidahak. The
research basically aimed to obvious similarities between them and shows that
azidahak is a very suitable body which AZ (greed) can hide in it. Some of pre
Islamix texts in pahlavi language, introduce some different kinds of Daeva
(monsters) who can hide in human body and control his/her behaviors. In other
words Zahhak (as Shahnameh and pre Islamic tales has revealed) is a very
interesting symbol of AZ. This mythological king is a symbol of whom greed has
occupied their soul and manipulate them for his own purposes.
