The Most Accredited English Language Free Electronic Journals in Medical Sciences

اين پژوهش با هدف تعيين معتبرترين مجلات الكترونيكي رايگان حوزه علوم پزشكي، با كمك سياهه وارسي، از روش تحليل محتوا و همچنين تحليل پيوند استفاده كرده است. جامعه مورد مطالعه در اين مقاله نيز تمامي مجلات موجود در پايگاه راهنماي مجلات الكترونيكي رايگان Directory of Open Access Journals و Free Medical Journals است. روش اجراي اين پژوهش بدين صورت بوده است كه ابتدا با استفاده از سياهه وارسي، تمامي صفحات وب مجلات حوزه پزشكي اين دو پايگاه مطالعه و در مرحله بعدي اين پژوهش، نشاني‌هاي اينترنتي مجلات الكترونيكي رايگان منتخب انگليسي‌زبان حوزه علوم پزشكي بررسي گرديد. همچنين، براي تعيين ميزان پيوندهاي دريافتي و مجموع پيوندهاي اين وب‌سايت‌ها، از راهنماي ياهو استفاده شده است. در نهايت، عامل تاثيرگذار وبي و وب‌سايت‌هاي هسته مجلات الكترونيكي رايگان علوم پزشكي شناسايي گرديدند. برخي از نتايج اين پژوهش حاكي از آن است كه در ميان مجلات معتبر حوزه بهداشت، مجلات "New South Wales Public Health Bulletin" و "PLoS Biology" و "Environmental Health Perspectives - National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences" ؛ در پرستاري، مجلات "Online Journal of Rural Nursing and Health Care" و "Online Journal of Nursing Informatics"؛ در دندانپزشكي، مجلات "BMC Oral Health" و "Brazilian Oral Research"؛ و در نهايت در پزشكي، مجلات "Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research" و "Clinics" و "Sao Paulo Medical Journal" ، معتبرترين مجلات در ميان تمامي مجلات الكترونيكي رايگان مورد بررسي محسوب مي‌شوند.

Finding free e-journals is very difficult in web environment, because these types of journals are all scattered and they are rarely found in traditional bibliographic sources. Therefore, locating and their retrieval are hard. Then it is not easy to disseminate the accredited ones. The aim of this study was to determine the most accredited free English e-journals in medical sciences. The research methods were content and link analysis. In order to collect the data, a checklist has been used which its validity has been confirmed. The research population consisted of 700 free electronic journals of medical sciences which were collected from two reputable websites. Using qualitative study on the websites of these journals, the number of eligible journals in this research decreased to 269 journals. In the next step, Journalsʹ websites has been analyzed with webometrics methods. Then, utilizing core journal formula, the accredited ones were determined. Results showed that "New South Wales Public Health Bulletin" in Health, "Online Journal of Rural Nursing and Health Care" in Nursery, "BMC Oral Health" in Dentistry and "Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research" in Medicine were the most accredited journals in term of in links. Also, "International Journal of Integrated Care" in Health, "BMC Nursing" in Nursery, "Journal of Oral Science" in Dentistry, "The New York State Dental Journal" and "Journal of Oral Science" were the top free e-journals in term of web impact factor.
