Factor structure, Validity and Reliability of the Maternal Emotional Styles Questionnaire (MESQ)

پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسي خصوصيات روان‌سنجي مقياس سبك‌هاي هيجاني مادرانه (MESQ) در بين مادران انجام گرفته است. روش تحقيق مطالعه انجام شده، توصيفي ـ پيمايشي از نوع ابزارسازي و اعتبارسنجي بود. نمونه پژوهش شامل 400 نفر از مادران بود كه به شيوه نمونه‌گيري خوشه‌اي تصادفي چندمرحله‌اي انتخاب شدند. پرسشنامه‌هاي پژوهش، مقياس سبك‌هاي هيجاني مادرانه (MESQ) (‌لاگاسه سگوين و كاپلان، 2005) و مقياس توانايي‌ها و مشكلات (SDQ) (گودمن، 1997) بود. براي تحليل داده‌ها از نرم‌افزارهاي SPSS16 و AMOS استفاده گرديد. ضرايب همساني دروني مقياس (MESQ) در حد بالايي به‌دست آمد. محاسبه ضريب آزمون ـ بازآزمون به فاصله يك ماه مطلوب و بالا بود (001/0 > P). آزمون KMO برابر با 78/0 و در سطح مطلوب بود و آزمون كرويت بارتلت از نظر آماري معنادار بود. دو عامل مقياس، 44/45 درصد از واريانس كل مقياس را تبيين كردند. تحليل عامل تاييدي، نتايج حاصل از تحليل عامل اكتشافي را تاييد كرد و مدل به‌دست آمده با داده‌هاي پژوهش برازش داشت. همچنين همبستگي معنادار نمرات پرسشنامه MESQ با نمرات پرسشنامه SDQ روايي همگرا و واگراي مقياس را تاييد كرد. يافته‌هاي پژوهش نشان داد كه نسخه فارسي مقياس MESQ در اندازه‌گيري سبك‌هاي هيجاني مادرانه از خصوصيات روان‌سنجي قابل قبولي برخوردار است.

This research intends to examine the psychometric properties of the Maternal Emotional Styles Questionnaire (MESQ) amongst mothers. The research method was descriptive-survey and validation through developing an instrument and reliability assessment. The sample consisted of 400 mothers selected by cluster multi-stage random sampling method. Measuring instruments were the Maternal Emotional Styles Questionnaire (MESQ) (Lagacé-Séguin & Copla, 2005), and Strength, and Difficult Questionnaire (SDQ) (Gooodman, 1997). Data analysis was done using SPSS and Amos software’s version 16. The (MESQ) demonstrated high internal consistency. A re-administration of the measure 1 month later yielded high correlation (P < 0.001). The scale was assessed using factor analysis and principle component method (KMO = 0.78). In total, these two factors accounted for 45.44% of the total variance. Confirmative factor analysis approved the results of exploratory factor analysis. In addition, this model was found fit with the data. Pearson’s correlation between (MESQ) and (SDQ) were respectively confirming their convergent and divergent validity. Results of this study showed that Farsi version of (MESQ) has good psychometrics particularity in measuring mother’s emotional styles.
