The Assyrian Style Seals of the Silk Road and their Association with Iran-Mesopotamia Ties

مهرهايِ سبك آشوري راه ابريشم و ارتباط آن با روابط ايران و بين النهرين چكيده در اين مقاله در ابتدا چند مهر از قزوين، يك مهر از كرمانشاه و يكي ديگر از زنجان توصيف و با مهرهاي مشابه مقايسه شده است. سپس به ارتباط احتمالي آن با مسايل تاريخي عصر آهن 3 در فلات ايران و همچنين مسيله تجارت و جغرافياي تاريخي بررسي شده است. عناصر تركيبي هنرهاي محلي، لرستان و نشانه هايي از سبك مهر سازي ايلام و نيز تفاوتهاي جزيي با هنر آشور حاكي از بومي بودن مهرهاي مذكور هستند كه در نتيجه ارتباط سياسي- نظامي و تجاري گسترده فلات ايران با بين النهرين ويژگي هاي آشوري(آشور نو) نفوذ زيادي در سبك اين مهرها داشته است.

Tala’i5 Abstract Firstly, some seals from Qazvin, one from Kermanshah and the other from Zanjan will be described and compared with some similar cases in this paper. Then, the probable relations between these seals and historical issues during Iron Age III in Iran as well as trading and historical geography matters are going to be discussed. The compound elements of the local arts in Luristan (Lurestan) and some attributes of the Elamite style of seal making beside their scant differences from Assyrian art let us infer that the mentioned seals are local; however, they (the seals featured in this paper) have been influenced by the Neo-Assyrian style as a result of the substantial trading and political military interrelations between the two places (Iran and Mesopotamia).
