تصوير به آن دسته از فعاليت‌هاي ذهني گفته مي‌شود كه با تصرف قوه خيال در واقعيات مادي و معنوي به وجود مي‌آيد. در يك تصوير هنري عناصر متفاوت و بيگانه با هم پيوند مي‌يابند و اين از آن روست كه شاعر، زبان را از قابليت و توانايي كافي براي تجسم ادراكات شهودي خود برخوردار نمي‌بيند. بنابراين با انحراف از قواعد متعارف زبان و گذشتن از سطح خودكاري، آن را در مسيري شاعرانه بازسازي مي‌كند. هرگاه اين انحراف نقشمند، جهتمند و غايتمند باشد هنجارگريزي هنري صورت گرفته است. يكي از وجوه انقلاب ادبي نيما تحول در تصوير‌سازي بود. شاعران معاصر بر اصل، تخيل آزاد تاكيد دارند. آنان با ذهنيت متجدد و نگرش مستقل، از اشيا و پديده‌ها عادت زدايي مي‌كنند و جهان درون و بيرون را همان‌گونه كه در خيال شاعرانه خود كشف مي‌كنند به تصوير مي‌كشند. اين مساله، صور خيال نويني را در اشعار آنان موجب شده است. كيفيت تحول صور خيال در شعر معاصر مساله‌اي است كه در اين پژوهش بررسي مي‌شود.

Images refer to those mental activities created by the domination of the power of imagination in material or spiritual realities. Different and unfamiliar elements are combines in an artistic image due to the fact that poets see the language not capable and able enough to visualize his intuitive perceptions. Therefore, deviating from common lingual norms and transcending the automaticity level, the poet rebuilds the language in a poetic path. Whenever this deviation is patterned, purposeful and illustrative, an artistic abnormalization has taken place then. The change in imagination was one of the aspects of Nima’s literary revolution. Modern poets emphasize the free imagination principle. They dehabitualize items and phenomena with their modern mentality and independent standpoint and they visualize the inner and outer world as they discovered it in their poetic imagination. This issue caused a modern mental image in their poems. The quality of mental image in their poems. The quality of mental image metamorphosis in modern poetry is what we are going to study in this research.
