Analysis Of Medical Sciences Articles Structure Quality During 2002-2008

زمينه و هدف: در اين مقاله كيفيت مقالات منتشر شده در چهار مجله وابسته به يكي از دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي كشور بر پايه بررسي و تحليل روش تحقيق و روشهاي آماري مورد ارزيابي قرار گرفته است. روش بررسي: در اين پژوهش مقطعي انجام شده در سال 1389، از بين كليه مقالات منتشر شده طي سال‌هاي 1381 تا 1387 در چهار مجله از مجلات وابسته به يكي از دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي كشور كه برابر با 1568 مقاله بوده است، تعداد 162 مقاله به روش طبقهاي چند مرحلهاي انتخاب گرديدند. براي گردآوري داده‌ها، فرم ثبت اطلاعي برگرفته از پرسشنامه‌هاي استاندارد به كار گرفته شد. آزمون t يك نمونهاي و آزمون كروسكال واليس براي مقايسه امتياز بخشهاي مختلف مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. يافته‌ها: مطالعات مقطعي با 7/61 درصد(100 مقاله)، بيشترين نوع مطالعه را تشكيل مي‌دهند. بخش مواد و روشهاي مقالات بيشترين امتياز را كسب نموده و داراي كيفيت مطلوبي بود و بحث و نتيجه‌گيري كمترين امتياز را به خود اختصاص داد. مقدار احتمال در 102مقاله(6/81 درصد) به طور صحيح ارايه شده است. در 6/58 درصد(95 مقاله)‌ يافته‌هاي مقاله با پژوهش‌هاي داخلي مشابه مقايسه نشده بود، در حالي كه فقط در 13 درصد(21 مقاله) از مقالات، مقايسه با پژوهش‌هاي خارجي مشابه صورت نگرفته بود. نتيجه‌گيري: مطالعه‌ي حاضر نشان داد كه كيفيت كلي بخشهاي مختلف مقالات مطلوب نيست، از اين رو به كارگيري متخصصين روش تحقيق و آمار در مطالعات مختلف پزشكي مي‌تواند باعث ارتقا كيفيت مقالات اين شاخه از علم گردد.

Background and Aim: Quality of printed papers in 4 four medical journals affiliated to one of the universities of medical sciences in Iran was assessed based on methodological and statistical methods. Materials and Methods: In this cross sectional study conducted in 2010, out of all articles published between the years 2002 to 2008 in one of the universities of medical sciences for affiliated journals that were equal to 1568, a sample of 162 articles were selected with Multi-stage stratified sampling method . For data collection, standard questionnaire was used to develop an information form. One sample t-test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to compare scores from different parts of article. Results: Cross sectional studies with 61.7% (100 papers) formed most of studies. Median of authors and number of references for each article were 3 and 19, respectively and 10% of articles had more than 35 references. Material and methods with 3.53 points from 4 points (88.2%) earned the mighest score which was of high quality and conclusion achieved the lowest score. Also p-value has been reported correctly in 102 articles (81.6%). In 95 articles (58.6%) results were not compare with the similar internal articles whereas only in 21 articles (13%) comparison was not made with similar external researches. Conclusion: The present study showed that the overall quality of the medical articles is not desirable. Hence, employing experts in research methods and statistics in various medical studies can improve the quality of articles in this branch of science.
