Ontological Propositions from Kant’s and Mulla Sadra’s point of view

هدف اين مقاله بررسي گزاره‌هاي وجودي از ديدگاه كانت و صدرالمتالهين است. اين بحث تطبيقي، هم با نحوه تقسيم قضايا توسط اين دو فيلسوف پيوند خورده است و هم با تفسيري كه از مفهوم وجود ارايه مي‌دهند. كانت پس از تقسيم احكام به تحليلي و تركيبي و در پي تشريح ويژگي‌هاي اين دو نوع حكم، نتيجه مي‌گيرد كه گزاره‌هاي وجودي نه تحليلي است و نه تركيبي. در باور كانت، مفهوم وجود كه در گزاره‌هاي وجودي به ظاهر محمول واقع شده است محمول حقيقي نيست و صرفاً به لحاظ منطقي مي‌توان آن را محمول ناميد. پس وجود تنها نقش رابط حكم در قضايا را ايفا مي‌كند. اما صدرالمتالهين به دنبال تقسيم قضايا به حمل‌هاي اولي ذاتي و شايع صناعي، گزاره‌هاي وجودي را يكي از اقسام حمل‌هاي شايع صناعي به شمار مي‌آورد. او برخلاف كانت، نه تنها به وجود محمولي معتقد است، بلكه اين مفهوم در فلسفه صدرايي نقشي بنيادين ايفا مي‌كند. مقاله پيش رو، ضمن تشريح ديدگاه كانت و صدرالمتالهين در باب گزاره‌هاي وجودي و ارايه بحثي تطبيقي پيرامون چگونگي تقسيم قضايا توسط اين دو فيلسوف، بررسي نقادانه موضع كانت در قبال وجود محمولي و گزاره‌هاي وجودي را به عهده گرفته است.

: This essay seeks to examine ontological propositions put forward by kant and Mulla Sadra. The comparative discussion concerns both how propositions are divided by the two philosophers and the interpretation they put forward with regard to the concept of existence. Having divided judgments into analytical and synthetic ones and explicated the characteristics of the two judgments, Kant then concludes that ontological propositions is not the real predicate; it can only be logically called predicate. Therefore, existence plays the role of copula in propositions. Ho wever, having classified propositions into primary essential predication and common technical predication, Mulla Sadra considers ontological propositions is not the real predicate; it can omly be logically called predicate. In contrast with Kant, he not only belives in predicate existence but also maintains that the concept plays a major part in the Mulla Sadra philosophy. Describing the viewpoints of Kant and Mulla Sadra regarding ontological propositions and putting forward a comparative discussion on how the propositions were divided by the two philosophers, this essay provides a critical view of Kantʹs position on predicate existence and ontological propositions.
