بررسي ميزان استفاده اعضاي هيات علمي و رضايت مندي آنان از منابع كتابخانه هاي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي گيلان

A Survey on the Frequency of Use and Satisfaction about Central Library Resources among the Faculty Members in Guilan University of Medical Sciences

مقدمه: كتابخانه مركزي دانشگاه‌ها تامين‌‌كننده نيازهاي اطلاعاتي اعضاي هيات علمي است. آشنايي با ميزان و نحوه استفاده اساتيد از منابع اطلاعاتي موجود در كتابخانه مركزي منجر به برنامه ريزي بهتر در راستاي بهبود كميت و كيفيت خدمات و منابع موجود شده و زمينه ساز افزايش اثربخشي و كارايي اين مركز مي شود. هدف: بررسي ميزان استفاده و رضايت مندي اساتيد دانشگاه علوم پزشكي گيلان از منابع كتابخانه مركزي و واحدهاي تابعه دانشگاه در سال 1390 مواد و روش‌ها: در اين پژوهش پيمايشي و توصيفي، تحليلي نمونه پژوهش با روش نمونه‌‌گيري تصادفي طبقه‌‌اي از اساتيد شاغل در دانشكده‌‌هاي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي گيلان انتخاب شدند. ابزار گردآوري داده‌‌ها، پرسش نامه‌‌اي محقق ساخته مشتمل بر دو بخش بود كه با استفاده از مقياس ليكرت امتيازدهي شد. توزيع نرمال داده‌‌ها با استفاده از آزمون كولموگروف اسميرنف بررسي و تاييد شد. نتايج: بيشترين استفاده از منابع كتابخانه‌‌اي مربوط به كتاب‌‌هاي فارسي (2/61%) وكمترين فراواني (صفردرصد) مربوط به پايان‌‌نامه‌‌ها بود. فراواني نسبي استفاده واحدهاي مورد پژوهش از نشريات فارسي 5/52 درصد و درباره نشريات لاتين 3/27 درصد بود. همچنين بيشترين فراواني نسبي روش‌‌هاي جمع‌‌آوري اطلاعات علمي و پژوهشي اساتيد دانشگاه جستجو در اينترنت (64درصد) بود. بيشترين علت استفاده‌نكردن از كتابخانه‌‌ها كسب اطلاعات علمي از ساير روش‌ها (5/52%) و كمترين (صفردرصد) آن مربوط به مناسب نبودن فضاي كتابخانه بود. نتيجه‌‌گيري: استفاده اعضاي هيات علمي از منابع فارسي شامل كتاب‌ها و نشريات، ضرورت اتخاذ راهكارهايي براي بهره گيري اين افراد از منابع لاتين كه حاوي دانش روز هستند را آشكار مي‌‌سازد. همچنين رضايت واحدهاي مورد پژوهش از منابع غيرالكترونيك و نارضايتي نسبي آنان از منابع الكترونيك ضرورت توجه به زيرساخت‌هاي لازم براي استفاده از منابع الكترونيك را بيش از پيش نمايان مي‌‌سازد.

Introduction: Traditionally, the central library of any university is the main source of scientific data retrieval for respective faculty members. Exploration of rate and pattern of such usage makes it possible to promote the quantity and quality of library services and increasing the efficacy of faculty membersʹ activities. Objective: To determine the rate of usage of central library resources among the faculty members in Guilan University of Medical Sciences and their satisfaction in this respect. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was carried out on 139 faculty members of Guilan University of Medical Sciences who were selected on a stratified-random sampling manner. Data were collected using a two–section questionnaire containing items about demographic data and likert-scaled questions proposed to explore the amount of use and satisfaction of central library services. The normality of data was confirmed through Kolmogorov–Smirnov test. Results: The most usage (%61.2) of library resources was related to Persian books and least usage (%0) to the theses. Frequency of Persian journal use and Latin journal use were %52.5 and %27.3, respectively. Also, the most satisfaction was related to books (%37.4) and the least to the electronic resources. The most common cause of avoidance of library resources usage (%35.5) was using other resources and lack of suitable physical space was the least cause (%0) in this respect. Conclusions: The frequency of Persian resources (books and Journals) usage shows the need to the adoption of strategies for using Latin resources, as they are assumed to be source of updated data. Also, the faculty membersʹ satisfaction with non-electronic resources and their mild dissatisfaction in this issue shows the need for providing electronic infrastructures for using electronic resources
