بررسي رابطه جهاني شدن فرهنگي و عرفي شدن فردي با تاكيد بر نقش عوامل زمينه اي(مطالعه بين‌ ملتي)

The Relationship between Cultural Globalization and Individual Secularization Focusing on the Effect of Contextual Variables

مروري بر نظريه هاي عرفي شدن نشان مي‌دهد كه اين تيوري ها كمتر به تاثير مناسبات فزاينده جهاني بر عرفي‌شدن مردم جهان پرداخته اند. با توجه به اين مطلب، اين مقاله كوشيده است رابطه جهاني شدن فرهنگي و عرفي شدن مردم كشورهاي جهان را با توجه به متغيرهاي زمينه اي اثرگذار بر اين رابطه مورد بررسي قرار دهد. اين متغيرهاي زمينه اي عبارت‌اند از: سنت هاي مذهبي غير اسلامي، سطح توسعه‌يافتگي، تنوعات قومي، زباني و مذهبي. نتايج مطالعه حاضر نشان داد كه جهاني شدن ‌فرهنگي رابطه مستقيم و مثبتي با عرفي شدن مردم جهان دارد. البته با در نظر گرفتن سهم كنترلي ساير متغيرهاي منتج از نظريه‌هاي رقيب (نظريه نوسازي و نظريه بازارهاي مذهبي) اين اثر به ميزان قابل توجهي كاهش يافت. يافته هاي ديگر مطالعه حاكي از آن بود كه اثر جهاني شدن فرهنگي در كشورهاي اسلامي، اثري غير عرفي‌كننده و در كشورهاي غيراسلامي اثري عرفي‌ساز از خود نشان مي دهد. هم‌چنين مشخص گرديد كه جهاني‌شدن فرهنگي در كشورهايي كه از نظر قومي متنوع مي‌باشند، به نسبت كشورهايي كه از نظر قومي همگون هستند، اثر عرفي كننده بيشتري دارد. مطالعه حاضر با يافته خلاف انتظاري نيز روبه‌رو گرديد. يافته هاي مطالعه نشان داد كه جهاني شدن فرهنگي كاملاً مخالف انتظارات نظري مطالعه، در جوامعي كه از نظر مذهبي همگون مي باشند، اثر عرفي ساز بسيار بيشتري به نسبت جوامع ناهمگون مذهبي دارد.

A review of secularization theories indicates that very little attention has been paid to the impact of increasing global relations on the secularization of the world people. The present paper attempts to examine the relationship between cultural globalization and individual secularization of the world people with regard to contextual variables influencing this relationship. The contextual variables in this study include non-Islamic religious tradition, the development level, ethnic, religious, and linguistic diversities. The results indicated that cultural globalization has a direct and positive relationship with secularization. However, when the effect of variables referring to theories of modernization and religious markets (as the competing theories) was controlled, the relationship between globalization and secularization significantly reduced. The findings also suggested cultural globalization had non-secularizing effect in Islamic countries and secularizing effect in non-Islamic countries. Also it was found that the secularizing effect of cultural globalization in countries with ethnic diversity was higher than its effect in countries with ethnic homogeneity. In addition, there was an unexpected finding indicating the secularizing effect of cultural globalization in religiously homogenous societies was much more than its effect in religiously heterogeneous societies.
