Substantial Distinction between Reincarnation and Return (Rajāt)

دو موضوع تناسخ و رجعت را بايد از جمله مباحث كم و بيش جنجالي در حوزه باورهاي ديني دانست. اوّلي آموزه‌اي مطرح در شمار زيادي از اديان و مكتب‌هاي فلسفي و عرفاني جهان است، و دومي نيز در برخي از اديان و مذاهب جايگاه مهمي دارد. اما اين دو آموزه از جهاتي با هم شبيه‌اند؛ به‌گونه‌اي كه برخي آنها را از يك جوهر انگاشته‌اند، و برخي دم از تغاير اين دو زده و يكي را پذيرفته و ديگري را انكار كرده‌اند. حقيقت هرچه باشد، لوازم كلامي قابل توجهي به همراه دارد. با وجود اين، طرفين دعوي تا به‌حال به‌طور اصولي و بنيادين به اين مسيله و لوازم آن نپرداخته و صرفاً با تكيه بر شباهت‌ها و تفاوت‌هاي بدْوي كه معمولاً آنها را از تعريف‌هاي ناقص و فروكاهشي برمي‌گيرند، حكم به اين هماني يا دوگانگي آن دو كرده‌اند. اين جستار، با رويكردي پديدارشناسانه، و با واكاوي گونه‌هاي مختلف تناسخ‌باوري و رجعت‌انديشي، ويژگي‌ها و مولفه‌هاي جوهرين تناسخ‌باوري و رجعت‌انديشي را بازشناخته، و معلوم كرده است كه برخي وجوه تمايز اين دو آموزه (مانند تبدل هويت در تناسخ، و وحدت شخصيت در رجعت، و يا تكيه اين دو آموزه بر مباني متباين) به‌قدر كافي جوهري و بنيادين هست كه سبب شود تا بتوان به‌گونه‌اي علمي، به تغاير ماهوي و يا ذاتي آنها با يكديگر حكم كرد.

Reincarnation (Tan?sokh) and Return (Raj?t) are two similar, and at the same time controversial, issues in religious beliefs domain. The first is an important doctrine among great number of religions and philosophical and theosophical schools in world; and the second has also a significant position in some religions. This Similarity is so that some people consider them as one doctrine. But this is not all the truth; because on the other hand some religions or schools accepted only one of them and reject the other. In any case, the advocators of these theories up to now could not come to certain conclusion and did not proceed fundamentally to these important issue and its implications. But they only insist on rudimentary correspondences and differences of these notions that often toke them from a defective and reductive definition of these two words. This article with a phenomenological approach, and by analyzing of various types of belief in reincarnation and return, will recognize the substantial features and elements of each doctrine. Moreover, to be sure that some of differences between them (such as changing of identity in reincarnation, unity of personality in return, etc.) are so essential that convince us the two doctrines are substantially different.
