The Will to Power and the Problem of its Interpretation

خواست قدرت، يا اراده معطوف به قدرت، در نظر شمار قابل توجهي از تفسيرگران انديشه نيچه يكي از مهم‌ترين مفاهيم در فلسفه‌‌، دست‌كم فلسفه متاخر اوست و در عين حال يكي از پرابهام‌ترين و مساله‌برانگيزترين مضامين در انديشه نيچه نيز مي‌باشد كه انديشه‌ورزان گوناگون را در پي ارايه تفسيري درست و قابل قبول همواره به چالش انداخته است. به نظر نويسنده مشكل اصلي در ارايه تفسيري متافيزيكي از نيچه است و چنانچه تفسيرهايي را در نظر بگيريم كه با لحاظ خواست قدرت به عنوان ميلي مرتبه دومي در مقابل اميال مرتبه نخستي ما آن را به قلمرو روانشناسي آدمي محدود مي‌سازند، مي‌توان راه چاره‌اي براي غالب دشواري‌ها و ابهامات يافت. مقاله حاضر مي‌كوشد تا با بررسي و ارزيابي پاره‌اي از تفسيرهاي مهم ارايه شده نزد مفسران تحليلي‌مسلك نيچه كاستي‌هاي هر كدام از آنها را برجسته سازد و در پايان خود راهي براي ارايه تفسيري قابل قبول‌تر از آن را نشان دهد، هر چند آن تفسير قابل قبول‌تر را در مجالي ديگر بسط خواهد داد.

For a remarkable number of Nietzsche’s interpreters the Will to Power is among the most important concepts in his later philosophy, and at the same time it is one of the most challenging, problematic and obscure themes which raised much disputes and controversies among them, not yet settled. According to the author, the main problem lies in the metaphysical interpretations of the will to power and if we confine our interpretation of this concept, by construing it as a second-order desire different from all our first-order desires, to the psychology of human being we can solve most difficulties and ambiguities around it. This article attempts to investigate into some of the most famous and reasonable interpretations offered by mainly analytical interpreters, showing their advantages and drawbacks in providing an entirely consistent interpretation with other concepts in Nietzsche’s philosophy. At the end, the author suggests his own way towards a more promising understanding of the concept, leaving it to another article to elaborate.
