قياس‌ناپذيري و مسيله تعارض پارادايم‌هاي علمي؛ پيشنهاد يك نظريه سمانتيكي

Incompatibility and Dilemma of Scientific Paradigms Incommensurability; Proposition of a Semantic Theory

كوهن مدعي است پارادايم‌هاي علمي رقيب در عين اين‌كه قياس‌ناپذير‌ند، با هم ناسازگارند. اين مدعا اين مسيله را ايجاد مي‌كند كه قياس‌ناپذيري چگونه با تعارض جمع مي‌شود؟ قياس‌ناپذيري لازم مي‌آورد كه دو نظريه رقيب داراي شبكه معنايي و ساختار مقوله‌بندي متفاوتي باشند اين راه را بر ناسازگاري و تعارض گزاره‌ها مي‌بندد. در اين نوشته با ارايه يك نظريه سمانتيكي و متمايز‌كردن دو نوع تعارض، تعارض گزاره‌اي و تعارض مقوله‌بندي، خواهيم كوشيد در عين پذيرش قياس‌ناپذيري و لوازم آن از تعارض پارادايم‌هاي رقيب دفاع كنيم.

Kuhn argues that while revival scientific paradigms are incommensurable claims they are incompatible as well. This brings about a problem: how two incommensurable theories could be incompatible? Incommensurability entails that two rival theories should have different cognitive domain and taxonomic structure, this expression then blocks the emergence of contradiction among statements. In this essay we intend to propose a semantic theory and distinct two kinds of incompatibility, sentential incompatibility and taxonomic structural incompatibility, and thereby attempt to defend incompatibility and incommensurability of paradigms.
