On the Possibility and Desirability of “Reverse History of Philosophy"

امروزه پرسش از تاريخ فلسفه باندازه مسايل مرسوم و دروني هر يك از فلسفه‌ها داراي ارزش و اهميت است. مسيله‌يي كه در اين نوشتار مورد توجه قرار گرفته است اين است كه آيا امكان گذر از رويكرد مرسوم نسبت به تاريخ فلسفه هست؟ ميتوان در كنار رويكرد مستقيم به تاريخ فلسفه از رويكرد ديگري مانند «تاريخ فلسفه معكوس يا بازگشتي» سخن گفت؟ بعلاوه، مطلوبيت رويكرد دوم، قابل تاييد است؟ مراد از تاريخ فلسفه مستقيم توجه به تاريخ فلسفه بنحو متعارف و در زمان خطي جهت‌دار، از گذشته بطرف حال و آينده است و منظور از تاريخ فلسفه معكوس عنايت بدان در زمان خطي ولي بنحو برعكس يعني از حال به گذشته است. اين نوشتار بر آن است كه ميتوان از رويكردي بديل با عنوان «تاريخ فلسفه معكوس» بجاي رويكرد مرسوم و مستقيم سخن گفت.مضمون اين نظر آن است كه ميتوان و شايسته و لازم است كه در آغاز فلسفه‌ورزي در حوزه تاريخ فلسفه، در پنج مقامِ خوانش (مرور)، فهم (عميق و تاملي)، تحقيق، آموزش و تدوين، نسبت به تاريخ فلسفه، بطور معكوس (يا بازگشتي) عمل كنيم و نه مستقيم (يا پيشرفتي). بر اين اساس، اين نوشتار نخست با تفكيك سه مرتبه از امكان، يعني عرفي و منطقي و فلسفي و طرح اصول موضوعه‌يي چند، صرفاً به «امكان فلسفي» اين رويكرد ميپردازد و پس از آن با بيان مويدات و نشانه‌هاي متعدد، حكم به «مطلوبيتِ» اين رويكرد نيز ميدهد.

Presently, asking questions about the history of philosophy is as important and significant as inquiring about the common and internal problems of each school of philosophy. This paper focuses on the question of the possibility of going beyond the common approach to the history of philosophy. In line with this problem, it also asks: Could we speak of an alternative approach, such as the “reverse or retrospective history of philosophy alongside the direct approach to this field? Another related question could be: Is the second approach desirable enough? By the direct history of philosophy, we mean approaching the history of philosophy following a common liner direction, moving from the past towards the present and future. On the other hand, by the reverse history of philosophy we mean approaching historical events following a temporally linear direction but from the present towards the past. This paper argues that it is possible to replace the common and direct approach to the history of philosophy with an innovative approach titled “reversed history of philosophy”. Thus it is necessary that before treading on the path of philosophy, we should move through the stages of reading (reviewing), profound understanding, conducting research, teaching and learning, and compiling in our study of the history of philosophy in a reverse or retrospective rather than direct or prospective manner. Accordingly, through distinguishing between three levels of possibility (conventional, logical, and philosophical) and presenting some axioms, here the writer first deals solely with the “philosophical possibility” of this approach. Second, by reference to several pieces of evidence and indications, he acknowledges the “philosophical possibility” and desirability of this approach.
