تاثيرات جايگاه اجتماعي- اقتصادي والدين بر متغير هاي پيكرسنجي كودكان 1-0 ساله شهر اراك – مطالعه آنتروپومتري

The association of maternal socio-economic factors with 0-1 year’s old age infant weight in Arak (Iran) – An anthropometric study

رشد كودكان، بدون ترديد ، تحت تاثير عوامل متعددي صورت مي گيرد كه در ارتباط با هم هستند. با اين حال تعيين سهم هر يك از عوامل تاثير گذار مهم در يك طرح طبقه بندي شده و كاملاً نظام يافته هنوز وجود ندارد. در اين مقاله به مقايسه اثرات مشخصه هاي زيستي و اجتماعي والدين بر رشد كودكان 1-0 ساله شهر اراك پرداخته شده است. با توجه به نتايج اين مطالعه، متغيرهاي مادري تا زمان تولد بيشترين اثر را بر شاخص هاي پيكر سنجي كودكان خصوصا وزن آنها دارد اما به نظر مي رسد اين تاثيرات پس از اين زمان تا سن يك سالگي كم رنگ تر و كم اثرتر مي شوند مخصوصا اگر امكان دسترسي رايگان به مراكز بهداشتي درماني وجود داشته باشد.

Infant weight is one of the main index in the assessment of a societyʹs access to the primary health care services. The increasing evidence that socio-economic factors are interrelated infant growth measures. The reproductive success is influenced by internal and external environment (biological, socio-economical, ecological, genetic and racial factors and traditions) in the life course growth. On the basis of the above factors, anthropometrical studies on infants have been conducted with the aim of obtaining the characteristics of ethnic groups inhabiting a particular geographical region. Unfortunately, data on these important maternal growth variables are not available. The study compared the predictive strength for 0-1 old age infant weight of several socio- economic variables (such as maternal age, Parity, educational attainment, gender of infant and parent birthplace) in Arak city in Iran. Results were shown that maternal factors are strong determinants of the prenatal growth of infants but these variables are less than effective during life course of 0-1years old age infants.
