The Concepts and Characteristics of Wilsonʹʹs Information Seeking Behavior Model: A Literature Review

هدف از مطالعه ي حاضر، بيان مفاهيم و ويژگي هاي الگوي اطلاع يابي ويلسون اطلاع يابي بوده و فرايند تكميل، بسط و گسترش آن با مرور متون مورد بررسي قرار مي گيرد. نتايج نشان داد كه مدل اطلا عيابي ويلسون پايه و بنيان الگوهاي اطلا عيابي بعد از خود بوده و يكي از پراستنادترين الگوها در بين انواع الگوهاي اطلا عيابي مطرح شده در جهان مي باشد. اين الگو از سال 1981 تاكنون 4 بار مورد بازنگري قرار گرفته و اكثر صاحب نظران معتقد هستند كه الگوي كلي ويلسون بيشتر يك نظريه است تا يك چارچوب نظري. به عبارت ديگر، اگر چه در شكل نهايي اين الگو نظريه ايفاي نقش مي كند، اما هدف از الگوي مذكور، پيوند دادن نظريه به عمل مي باشد. درك اين نكته مهم است كه الگوي عام ويلسون در طول زمان شكل گرفته و تكامل تدريجي داشته است و فهم ارتباط ميان نمودارهاي مختلفي كه او به منظور تشريح اين الگو ارايه نموده ضروري است. از اين رو بايد درك شود كه هيچ الگويي مستقل و كامل نيست و در استفاده از اين الگو براي نشان دادن روند رشد ايده هاي پژوهشي، لازم است كه تمام نمودارهاي موجود در الگوي سال 1981 و همچنين الگوي سال 1996 بازنگري و بر اساس آن ها عمل گردد. در اين پژوهش ابتدا مفاهيم و ويژگي هاي الگوي اطلا عيابي ويلسون بيان شده و ضمن مروري كوتاه بر نظريه هاي رفتار اطلاع يابي، الگوهاي اطلاع يابي ويلسون مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار خواهد گرفت. واژه هاي كليدي: رفتار اطلاع يابي؛ مدل ويلسون؛ جستجو و ذخيره ي اطلاعات

This study aimed to describe the concepts and characteristics of Wilsonʹs information seeking behavior model, as the highly cited pattern in information seeking behavior debates and tracing its completion, expansion and development process. Wilsonʹs information seeking behavior model is the base for other subsequent related models. It has been the highly cited model amongst other information seeking behavior models worldwide. Having revised four times since 1981, the model has been revised by many researchers as a theory rather than a theoretical framework. In other words, despite the role of theory in its final formation, the aim of the model is to connect theory to practice. It is important to note that Wilsonʹs general model has been constructed and evolved continuously and the understanding of the connections and relations of the charts and conceptions embedded in the model in details has been important for its explanation. No pattern is complete by itself and for showing the growth trends of research ideas from the model, it is necessary to revise the charts and concepts embedded in both 1981 and 1996 Wilsonʹs model varieties and practice accordingly. In this study, concepts and features of Wilsonʹs information seeking model have been expressed, and a brief overview of the information seeking behavior theories and analysis of the Wilsonʹs information seeking behavior models have been performed.
