كاربرد فراداده در بافت آرشيوي: ضرورت، استانداردها، و رويكرد جديد

The Use of Metadata in the Archive Context: Necessity, Standards, and the New Approach

هدف: مقاله حاضر به منظور تبيين كاربرد فراداده در بافت آرشيوي، انواع استانداردهاي فراداده‌اي بافت آرشيوي از لحاظ كاركردپذيري، و رويكردهاي بهره‌مندي از فراداده در بافت مذكور طراحي شده است. روش/رويكردپژوهش: پژوهشي مفهومي است كه با رويكرد تحليلي در راستاي تحقق هدف پژوهش گام بر مي‌دارد. بدين منظور، ضمن اشاره به ويژگي‌هاي بومي اشياي محتوايي بافت آرشيوي و ضرورت استفاده از فراداده در آن بافت، رويكردهاي پيشين و كنوني استفاده از فراداده در بافت آرشيوي مورد بررسي قرار مي‌گيرد. يافته‌ها و نتايج: بافت آرشيوي همانند ديگر بافت‌هاي اطلاعاتي داراي ويژگي‌هاي بومي خاصي از جمله عدم وجود منبع اصلي اطلاعات، وجود روابط درون‌بافتي و برون‌بافتي ميان اشياي آرشيوي و اشياي ديگر بافت‌ها، و نظير آن است كه بر روي توصيف و سازماندهي آنها تاثير مي‌گذارد. از اين رو، توصيف و سازماندهي اشياي آرشيوي و برقراري روابط درون بافتي و برون بافتي (با ديگر اشياي بافت‌فرهنگي) همخوان با ويژگي‌هاي بومي آنها ضروري است. كاركردهاي توصيفي، مديريتي، ساختاري، فني، نگهداري، و حقوقي از توليد فراداده در بافت آرشيو مد نظر است. در پايان، به رويكرد جديد استفاده از ابزار فراداده در بافت آرشيوي، و همگرايي استانداردهاي فراداده‌اي بافت آرشيوي با ديگر بافت‌ها به ويژه بافت كتابخانه‌اي پرداخته خواهد شد.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to explain the application metadata in the archival context, the various types of archival metadata standards based on their functionality, and the approaches for using metadata in this context. Methodology/Approach: The research is a conceptual study and uses an analytical approach to pursue its aim. In this regard, the inherent features of the archival content objects, the necessity of using metadata for organizing and describing archival content objects, and modern and previous approaches are analyzed. Findings/Conclusion: The archival context, like other information contexts, has some special inherent features such as the lack of a primary source of information, and the intra-context and extra-context relationships between archive content objects and objects from other contexts which affect their description and organization. Hereupon, it is vital to describe and organize archival content objects and to establish intra-context and extra-context relationships (with other cultural-context objects) adapting their inherent features. In the archival context, descriptive, administrative, structural, technical, conservational and legal factors in creating metadata are considered. Finally, the paper deals with new approaches for using metadata in the archival context, and the convergence of the archival metadata standards with other cultural contexts such as the library context.
