بروز جنگ و رقابت هاي ژيوپليتيكي برآيند كنش جوامع انساني براي رقابت بر سر ارزش ها و كسب منفعت مادي و معنوي است. جنگ به شيوه كلاسيك آن در رويارويي نيروها و ادوات نظامي نمايان مي شود. انگيزه ي اقدام به جنگ بر بنياد اميال غريزيي همچون مبارزه جويي، شكست دشمن و كسب ارزش استوار است. هرگاه كه اين اميال بستر مساعد اجتماعي خود را براي كنشگري پيدا كنند؛ صورت نماديني از جنگ كلاسيك هويدا مي شود. در اين ميان حوزه رقابت هاي ورزشي بستري مناسب براي بازنمايي نمادها، مناسك جنگ و رقابت هاي ژيوپليتيك (مبارزه جويي و شكست دشمن) است. بر اين اساس هدف اين جستار پاسخ به اين پرسش است كه نسبت رقابت هاي ورزشي بين المللي و هماوردي هاي ژيوپليتيك چيست؟ فرض اين جستار بر اين است كه ميدان رقابت هاي ورزشي بين المللي به لحاظ همپوشاني در مفاهيم قدرت، رقابت و ارزش هاي ملي با حوزه رقابت هاي ژيوپليتيكي، عرصه جنگ نمادين كشورها و ملت ها است. نبرد و ستيز ياد شده از يك سو برآيند تفاوت در ادرك منافع و ارزشها نزد هويت هاي متكثر و متمايز انساني در اجتماع است و از سوي ديگر بازنمايي غريزه رقابت ژيوپليتيكي و جنگ (حوزه سياسي) در حوزه اجتماعي است.

The classic war is revealed in a contrast between forces and military equipment. The war stimulus is based on the principle of innate desires for campaigning, defeating the enemy, and gaining the value. Thus, the symbolic form of war is unfolded when these desires find the favorable social bed for activism. Meanwhile, the area of sporting competition is a suitable bed for revealing the symbols and ritual of war as well as the geopolitical competitions (campaigning and defeating the enemy). So, the purpose of this essay is based on answer to this question that what is the ratio between competitive sports and the geopolitical rivals. This essay is based on this assumption that the field of international sporting competitions which intervenes with the area of geopolitical competitions in power concepts, competition, and national values is an arena of a symbolic fighting between nations and states. Thus, the states are forced to fight each other to succeed in this arena. This battle and conflict is resulting from the difference between the perception of interests and values with distinct and diverse human identities in community on one hand, and the revealing of the instinct of geopolitical competition and war (political field) in social area, on the other hand.
