كنسولگري بريتانيا در خراسان و نقش آن در گسترش نفوذ انگليسي ها در جنوب شرق ايران مسعود مرادي معصومه صاحبكاران چكيده شـرق ايـران در قـرن نوزدهـم از اهميت استـراتژيكـي ويـژه اي برخـوردار بـود و با توجـه به سياست هاي توسعه طلبانه استعماري روس و انگليس در منطقه و تهديد منافع يكديگر، اهميت اين منطقه دو چندان شد. روس ها براي دست اندازي به مناطق جنوبي و خروج از بن بست در مناطق شمالي و انگليسي ها براي دفاع از هندوستان در صدد گسترش نفوذ خود در ايران برآمدند. ضعف دولت قاجار در مناسبات بين المللي و تا حدي خودمختاري خاندان هاي حكومتي شرق ايران اين امكان را پديد آورد تا هريك از اين دول دست به تشكيل كنسولگري و حتي ارسال نيروهاي جاسوس به منطقه بزنند. اين مقاله در صدد است تا چگونگي رقابت هاي اين دو استعمارگر و انعكاس فعاليت هاي آنها را در امور كنسولي منطقه شرق و جنوب شرق ايران مورد بررسي قرار دهد. واژگان كليدي: انگليـس، روسيـه، كنسولگـري بريتانيـا، خـراسان، شرق ايران، رقابت هاي استعماري.

British consulate in khorasan and its role in expanding the British influence on the south- east of Iran Masud moradi - Masumeh sahebkaran Abstract The east of Iran had a special strategic importance in the 19th century and the importance of this region became twice with respect to the Russian and British political and colonialist expansionist’s and the threat to each other’s interests. The Russian for encroaching on the south regions and breaking the dead lock in the north regions, and the British for defending India intended to expand their influence on Iran. The weakness of Qajar government in international relations and to some extent the autonomy of the governmental dynasties in the east of Iran made it possible that each of these governments establish consulate and even send spy forces to the region. This article attempts to consider the condition of the competitions of these two colonialists and also the reflection of their activities in consular duties of the east and south east of Iran.
