مقايسه توانايي‏ هاي اجتماعي و مشكلات رفتاري كودكان 12-6 ساله مبتلا به صرع با كودكان سالم

Comparing Social Competence and Behavioral Problems of Healthy Children and Children with Epilepsy in the Age of 6-12 Years Old

زمينه و هدف: بيماري صرع بيماري نسبتاً شايع عصبي دوران كودكي است و تقريبا 10-5 كودك از هر 1000 كودك را مبتلا مي‌سازد. اين اختلال بر روي توانايي‏هاي كودكان مبتلا و عملكرد آنان تاثير گذاشته و سلامت رواني آنان را تحت‏الشعاع قرار مي‏دهد. مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعيين و مقايسه توانايي‏هاي اجتماعي و مشكلات رفتاري كودكان مبتلا به صرع و سالم سن مدرسه انجام شده است. روش كار: در اين پژوهش توصيفي- تحليلي 150 كودك 12-6 سال شامل دو گروه: سالم (100 نفر) و مبتلا به صرع (50 نفر)، به روش نمونه‏گيري تصادفي از بيمارستان قايم و 11مدرسه از ناحيه 6 مشهد انتخاب شده و والدين آنان پرسش‏نامه‏هاي توانايي‏ها و مشكلات، «فهرست رفتاري كودكان» و ويژگي‏هاي جمعيت‏شناختي را در مدت 20 دقيقه تكميل نمودند. اعتبار ابزارها از طرق روش‏هاي تعيين شاخص اعتبار محتوا و اعتبار صوري مشخص و پايايي دروني ابزارها از طريق همساني دروني بررسي گرديد. يافته‏ها بر اساس آزمون‏هاي آماري من ويتني آناليز واريانس دو متغييره، آناليز رگرسيون ساده و چندگانه مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. يافته‏ها: در توانايي‏هاي اجتماعي پسران، در دو گروه مبتلا به صرع و سالم اختلاف معنادارآماري مشخص گرديد (02/0=p). كودكان در گروه‏هاي مبتلا به صرع و سالم، در حيطه مشكلات ارتباط با همسالان (01/0 p =) و مشكلات عاطفي نيز اختلاف معني‏دار آماري با يكديگر داشتند (03/0 p =). نتيجه‌گيري: اختلال صرع باعث كاهش توانايي‏هاي اجتماعي كودكان سن مدرسه گشته و اين كودكان نسبت به همسالان سالم‏ خود مشكلات بيشتري در حوزه رفتاري، عاطفي و ارتباط با همسالان دارند.

Background & Objectives: Epilepsy is relatively common neurological disease of childhood that affects approximately 5-10 per 1000 children. This disorder affects ability and performance of children and influences their mental health. This study aimed to determine the social competence and behavioral problems of healthy school-age children and children with epilepsy. Methods: In this descriptive–analytical study, 150 children in the age of 6-12 years including 50 with epilepsy and 100 healthy ones were selected from Ghaem Hospital and 11 schools located in Region 6 of Mashhad city. Parents completed “Strength and difficulties”, “Child behavior”, and “demographic characteristics” Questionnaires within 20 minutes. Validity of questionnaires was determined through content and face validity methods and reliability was assessed by internal consistency. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney, variance analysis, and multiple regression tests. Results: Statistically significant difference was observed between social competence of epileptic and healthy boys (p=0.02). Problems in relation with peers (p=0.01) and emotional problem (p=0.03) in children with epilepsy significantly differed from those of healthy children. Conclusion: Epilepsy disorder reduces social ability of school-age children and they have more difficulties regarding to behavioral, emotional, and communication with peers than their healthy peers.
