تعيين مكان استقرار مراكز خدماتي از جمله مسايل مطرح در جوامع امروزي است كه كاهش هزينه و زمان قابل توجهي را در پي داشته است به همين علت اين بررسي يكي از مهم ترين بخش هاي پروژه هاي اجرايي به شمار مي رود. يكي از اين مراكز خدماتي بيمارستان ها هستند كه با توجه به نقش بسيار حساس آن ها در بحران هاي ناشي از حوادث غير مترقبه و همچنين كاهش قابل توجه مرگ و مير ضرورت مكان يابي صحيح اين مراكز بيشتر آشكار مي گردد. در اين مقاله هدف تعيين مناسب ترين مكان به منظور احداث يك بيمارستان است و براي نيل به اين هدف از قابليت هاي سيستم هاي اطلاعات مكانيGIS استفاده گرديد به همين منظور پارامترهاي موثر بر تعيين مكان استقرار اين مركز درماني كه نوع آن با توجه به منطقه مورد مطالعه تعيين خواهد شد شناسايي و مورد ارزيابي قرار گرفتند دادهاي مورد نياز از نقشه-هاي 2500/1سازمان نقشه برداري استخراج گرديد در مرحله بعد روش تحليل سلسله مراتبي (AHP)به منظور وزن دهي به معيارهاي موثر در مكان يابي اتخاذ و سپس با تعيين مساحت مورد نياز اين مركز درماني از نوع بيمارستان هاي عمومي تشخيص داده شد در نهايت با استفاده از روش هاي مختلف تركيب لايه ها (بولين وفازي) معيارها تركيب و مناسب ترين روش به منظور احداث بيمارستان عمومي روش فازي شناخته شد.
