مطالعات فرهنگي و مطالعات حافظه محمدسعيد ذكايي (تاريخ دريافت 3/11/90 ، تاريخ پذيرش21/2/91) چكيده تحولات ساختاري و ارزشي برآمده از چرخش فرهنگي در جوامع معاصر، به موازات رشد، توجه به مقوله حافظه را به‌دنبال داشته است. حافظه فرهنگي به ابزار مهمي در توليد گفتمان‌ها و بازنمايي‌ها و نيز شكل‌دهي هويت فرهنگي گروه‌هاي اجتماعي و ارتباط با بسياري از نهادها و ساختارهاي اجتماعي تبديل شده است. پيوند حافظه با فرهنگ عامه‌پسند و نقش صنايع فرهنگي در توليد، بازآفريني يا تغيير حافظه‌هاي فرهنگي اهميت استراتژيك آن را در سياست فرهنگ توضيح مي‌دهد. مقاله حاضر در پي تشريح زمينه‌ها، كاركردها و آثار رواج مطالعات حافظه به‌عنوان يك سنت آكادميك بين‌رشته‌اي و معرفي رويكردها و نيز روش‌هاي عمده آن به‌ويژه در سنت مطالعات فرهنگي است. مطالعات حافظه، علاوه بر افزودن دستوركار‌هايي پراهميت در مطالعه زندگي روزمره و فرهنگ عامه‌پسند، سهم زيادي نيز در پيوند علوم انساني و اجتماعي و درك بهتر از پيچيدگي‌هاي فرآيندهاي اجتماعي و فرهنگي دارد. واژگان كليدي: مطالعات حافظه، مطالعات فرهنگي، حافظه تاريخي، فرهنگ عامه‌پسند، سياست حافظه.

Cultural Studies and Memory Studies Mohammad Saeed Zokaei Value and structural transformations influenced by cultural turn, having taken place and grown in contemporary societies, have given a boom to memory studies. Cultural memory has turned into an important tool in producing discourses and representations and also in shaping the cultural identities of social groups and kind of communication people make with many of social institutions and structures. The connection between memory and popular culture and the role of cultural industries in the production, reproduction or the changes in cultural memories, also explain the strategic role memory plays in culture politics. The present paper aims to clarify the background, functions and the impacts of memory studies’ prevalence as an academic tradition, particularly within the area of cultural studies. In addition to providing important new agendas in the study of everyday life and popular culture, memory studies has important contributions in connecting humanities and social sciences and in offering a better understanding of the complexities that social and cultural processes display.
