موسيقي به عنوان انتزاعي ترين هنر در تاريخ پرفراز و نشيب خود، همواره رها از بيانگري بوده است. ليكن به تناسب زمانه گاه در خدمت شكوه و معنويت باورهاي ديني و آييني يا چهارچوب ها و ضوابط هنري بوده، گاه از آداب و رسوم درباري يا افت و خيزهاي سليقه مردم كوچه و بازار تاثيرپذيرفته و زماني راه بازنمايي و توصيف طبيعت، پديده ها و تصويرهاي نهفته در كلام شاعران و اديبان را پيشگرفته است. بااينكه پس از دوران رمانتيك در موسيقي و اهميت نقش احساسات فردي در هنر، برانگيخته شدن احساس و انديشه موسيقيدان در رويارويي با معماري و فضا و سيماي شهرها، آثار ارزنده اي در تاريخ موسيقي رقم زده شده است ليكن، باتوجه به نتايج پژوهش هاي پيشين به نظرميرسد درباره نقش معماري و شهر به عنوان دست مايه و سرچشمه الهام آهنگسازان بررسي كمتري صورت گرفته است. ازاين رو هدف اصلي اين پژوهش، يافتن همانندي هاي موسيقي و معماري براساس تحليل هفت اثر موسيقي برنامه اي سبك رمانتيك و پس از آن بوده است. براي دست يابي به اين هدف، با بهره گيري از روش توصيفي-تحليلي و استفاده از منابع كتابخانه اي، ضمن تحليل اين هفت اثر، همانندي هاي معماري و موسيقي بررسي و ارزيابي شده اند. برپايه مطالعات انجام شده، يافته ها و دستاوردهاي به دست آمده در اين پژوهش بدين قرار است كه بازنمايي فضاي عيني معماري به فضاي ذهني موسيقايي يا همان محاكات صداهايي كه در فضاهاي معماري و شهري نقش كليدي و نمادين دارند، به تداعي گري موسيقي ياري رسانده و ذهن را به موضوع اصلي هدايت مي كنند. ضمن اينكه فاصله هاي موسيقايي نتها و درنتيجه گام مورد استفاده در موسيقي، عبارات، جمله ها و ملودي ها جدا از اينكه با چه ساز يا سازهايي اجرامي شوند به دليل ويژگي هاي دروني خود و تناسبات عددي آنها، توان القاي احساسات مشابه معماري و درنهايت تداعي تصويري را دارند. نهايت اينكه، رنگ صوتي و طنين سازها نيز مي توانند منجربه تجسم مصالح در معماري يا كيفيت حسي فضاها در ذهن شنونده گردند.

As the most abstract art, music has always been free from expression in the ups and downs of its history. But, depending on the time, it has sometimes been at the service of religious and ritual beliefs or artistic frames and conventions, sometimes it was affected by court costumes or ups and downs of ordinary people’s taste or it was used for demonstrating and describing the nature, phenomena and images behind the words of poets and writers. Regarding the results of previous studies, it seems that the role of architecture and city as the theme and origin of inspiration for composers has been investigated less. However, after the Romantic Movement in music and the importance of individual feelings in art, the confrontation of musicians with architecture, space and the image of cities motivated their emotions and thought which led to the creation of great works in the history of music. Thus, the main aim of this research is to find homologies between music and architecture via analyzing seven works of program music in Romantic and post-Romantic style. To achieve this aim, while analyzing these seven works by using descriptive-analytical method and library sources, the homologies between architecture and music are also explored. Some results of this study are as following: a) in the projection of concrete space of architecture onto abstract space of music, the mimesis of sounds which have a key and symbolic role in urban spaces contributes to the associative role of music and leads the mind to the main subject, b) the musical intervals of notes and the scale used in music, expressions, sentences and melodies, irrespective of instruments with which they are performed, can suggest feelings similar to architecture and pictorial association is created due to their internal features and numerical proportions, c) the vocal color and resonance of instruments can cause the incarnation of architectural materials or sensory quality of spaces in the mind of listeners. For each result several examples are proposed
