چكيده لاتين :
This study explores how salient cultural elements are expressed in selected written Persian Proverbs from certain texts. The main focus of the present study is to identify which of the three dimensions of attitudes: Emotional, cognitive and behavioral are expressed in the selected proverbs. The content analysis is applied to reveal attitudinal dimensions of Persian proverbs. This study can pave the way for conduct research on oral proverbs used by people in all walks of life in contemporary Iran, which were not included in the present study.
Results indicated that the emotional dimension of attitude has the highest rate (75.24) followed by Cognitive (17.14) and behavioral dimension of attitudes with the lowest frequency (7.62).
