Archetypal Analysis of Rostam and Isfandiyar Story

يكي از رويكردهاي مهم نقد و بررسي آثار ادبي، نقد كهن‏الگويي يا اسطوره‏شناختي است كه آن خود يكي از متفرعات نقد روان‏شناسي‏ ژرفانگر به‏شمار مي‏آيد.‌اين نوع رويكرد كه بر پايه انديشه روان‏پزشك سوييسي، كارل گوستاو يونگ تكوين يافته، به بررسي و تحليل عناصر ساختاري اسطوره كه در روان ناخودآگاه جمعي حضور دارند، مي‏پردازد. در نظر يونگ‌اين عناصر نوعي تجربه همگاني است كه به گونه‏اي در همه نسل‏ها تكرار مي‏شود، و از راه قرار گرفتن در ناخودآگاه جمعي وارد سازمان رواني فرد مي‏شود. كهن الگوهاي يونگ در هر يك از داستان هاي شاهنامه قابل بررسي است. در پژوهش حاضر برآنيم تا داستان رستم و اسفنديار را به عنوان پيكره داده هاي پژوهش به روش توصيفي-تحليلي مورد مطالعه قرار دهيم. در‌اين تحقيق نشان مي‏دهيم كه لازمه خوديابي و يكپارچگي شخصيت اين است كه فرد مراحل دشوار سفر را بگذراند، سختي‏ها را تحمل كند، و بياموزد كه به‏راستي روزي بر چالش‏هاي جدي جهان حتي به همان شكل مبالغه‏آميزي كه تصوير ترس‏هاي اوست چيره خواهد شد و همين امر موجب غناي شخصيت او مي‏گردد.‌اين داستان هشدار مي‏دهد كه اگر كسي نتواند خود را به فردي مسيول در عالي‏ترين سطح بدل سازد، بايد در انتظار پيامدهاي مخرب و ويرانگري باشد. برآيند نهايي پژوهش آن است كه هر يك از كهن الگوهاي يادشده، تجليات متعدد روان واحدي تلقي مي-گردند.

One of the major approaches to literary criticism is archetypal or mythological criticism which is a brance of Jung’spsychology. This approach which has developed on the basis of the ideas of Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Gustav Jung, examines and analyzes the structural elements of the myth which are present in the collective unconscious mind. Jung believes that these elements are a kind of universal experience that is repeated in all generations, and enters the individual’s psychological organization via being placed in the collective unconscious. Jung’s archetypes can be studied in each of the Shahnamah’s stories. In the present study, the story of Rostam and Isfandiyar, as our data, is examined by applying a descriptive-analytical method. It is indicated that to know oneself and to make an integrated personality, the individual should tolerate difficulties and difficult stages in his way. Besides, he should learn that one day he will overcome the severe challenges of the world, even in the same way that they make exaggerated images of his fears, and this is what improves his personality. This story reveals that if a person cannot change himself into a responsible individual at the highest level, he should expect destructive outcomes. At the end, the authors will conclude that each of the archetypes is considered as the numerous realizations of a single soul
