Neo-Mackinderism and Shia’ Rimland Theory

مقاله حاضر به بررسي پديده ژيوپليتيك و ژيوكالچر تشيع با استفاده از نظريات كلاسيك در اين حيطه مي‌پردازد و با تبيين مفهوم «ريملند شيعي» و موقعيت تشيع به‌عنوان عاملي موثر در مناسبات منطقه‌اي و بين‌المللي، سعي در پاسخ به اين سوال دارد كه نقش ايران به‌عنوان يك بازيگر منطقه‌اي، در معادلات بين‌المللي چيست؟ پديده شيعه و جمعيت‌هاي شيعي، از لحاظ جغرافيايي در قلب ريملند واقع شده و با ظهور انقلاب ايران به پديده‌اي اثر‌گذار در معادلات بين‌المللي تبديل شد. انقلاب ايران كه يك انقلاب مبتني بر ايديولوژي شيعي بود، از سويي ايران را تبديل به ام‌القراي شيعه نمود و از سوي ديگر، به بيداري جمعيت‌هاي شيعي در كشورهاي منطقه ريملند انجاميد. شيعيان كشورهاي منطقه كه بيشتر آنان زير سلطه حاكمان سني‌مذهب به سر مي‌برند، در اين سال‌ها با الگوگيري از انقلاب ايران، و با تاكيد بر موقعيت‌هاي اعتراضي به وضع موجود- كه مبتني بر تبعيض‌هاي سازمان‌يافته و دولت خواسته ضد آنان است- سعي در تغيير وضع موجود داشته‌اند. اين مقاله به بررسي نقش شيعيان منطقه به‌عنوان فضاي «پيراموني» ايران، و واكاوي موقعيت سياسي- اجتماعي و ژيوپليتيك آنان در ارتباط با ايران به‌عنوان «مركز» تشيع مي‌پردازد تا از اين رهگذر، به تبيين ژيوپليتيك پديده شيعه به‌عنوان بازيگري فعال در معادلات منطقه‌اي و بين‌المللي، و همچنين ژيوپليتيك نوين تشيع نايل آيد.

This article talks about the geopolitical and geocultural phenomenon of Shia’ by using pertinent classical theories, and through the explanation of the Rimland’s concept of Shia’ and the latter’s status as an effective factor in regional and international relations, It tries to provide an answer to the question: What role does Iran play in international equations? In fact, Shia’ and Shia’ zones are, geographically speaking, situated in the heart of Rimland and turned into an influential phenomenon in international equations subsequent to the Islamic Revolution in Iran. This Revolution which was based primarily on Shia’ ideology, transformed the country into Shia’ metropolis and at the same time caused the awakening of Shia’ population in Rimland region. The Shia’ communication of the region, mostly ruled by Sunni regions, have adopted the Iranian revolution model and endeavored to bring about changes in the state-imposed oppressions against them. We have explored here the role of regional Shia’ communities as the peripheral zone in relation to Iran, as well as their socio-political or geopolitical status next to Iran as the center of Shia’, with the purpose of offering a geopolitical explanation of this phenomenon as an active player in both regional and international equations.
