دين و نظم اجتماعي: بررسي رابطه دينداري با احساس آنومي و كجروي در ميان نمونه‌اي از دانشجويان

Religion and Social Order: The Examination of the Association of Religiosity with Anomie Feelings and Deviance among a Student Sample

بررسي و تحليل كاركردي دين در نظام اجتماعي و نقش آن در حفظ تعادل و نظم اجتماع يكي از حوزه‌هاي مهم مطالعاتي در جامعه‌شناسي دين بوده است. در اين ميان يكي از موضوعاتي كه همواره محل بحث بوده،‌ ميزان تاثير دين و دينداري افراد بر كاهش احساس آنومي و جلوگيري از بروز شرايط آنوميك در جامعه است. علاوه بر اين،‌ نقش دين در كاهش كجروي و بزهكاري ‌يكي ديگر از موضوعاتي است كه در زمينه تبيين كاركردي دين مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. در اين مقاله، اثر دينداري بر نظم اجتماعي در سطح فردي بررسي مي‌شود. براي اين كار، رابطه بين دينداري و دو متغير احساس آنومي و كجروي مورد مطالعه قرار مي‌گيرد. جمعيت آماري اين مطالعه را دانشجويان خوابگاهي دانشگاه سمنان تشكيل مي‌دهند. اين مطالعه، يك نوع پژوهش كمّي از نوع مطالعه پيمايشي بوده و ابزار گردآوري اطلاعات در آن پرسش‌نامه است. بر اساس يافته‌هاي تحقيق، هر دو متغير احساس آنومي و كجروي با دينداري كل، رابطه معكوس معناداري دارند. هم‌چنين دينداري از طريق كاهش احساس آنومي در افراد نيز در كاهش بروز كجروي تاثير دارد. در ميان ابعاد دينداري، بعد پيامدي و بعد مناسكي داراي بيشترين رابطه همبستگي منفي هستند و ابعاد اعتقادي و تجربي كمترين رابطه را با احساس آنومي دارند. در مورد رابطه كجروي با ابعاد دينداري نيز بعد پيامدي شدت بيشتري نسبت به ابعاد ديگر دينداري دارد. در اين مقاله دلالت‌هاي اين يافته‌ها مورد تحليل قرار گرفته‌اند.

The study of the functions of religion in social systems and its role in maintaining social order has been one of the significant issues in sociology of religion. In this regard, the reducing effect of religion and religiosity on anomie feelings of the individuals and on anomic conditions of society has always been debated. Additionally, the role religion plays in preventing deviance and delinquency has been of the concerns of the functional explanation of religion. This paper aims to examine the impact of religiosity on social order at the individual level. To this end, the relationship between religiosity and the variables of anomie feelings and deviance are examined through the data collected from a sample of 352 dormitory students of Semnan University in 2006-2007. The findings reveal that both anomie and deviance have significant direct negative relationships with religiosity. Also, by reducing anomie feelings of people, religiosity has an indirect negative effect on deviance. Among the dimensions of religiosity, the consequential and ritual dimensions have stronger associations with anomie feelings compared to those of belief and feelings dimensions. The comparison of the relationship between different dimensions of religiosity and deviance also shows that consequential dimension has the strongest prohibiting effect on deviance. The implications of these findings for social order functions of religion are discussed.
