The Rhetorical Mysteries of Verbal Ellipsis in the Holy Quran and Criticism of its Persian Translations

حذف، يكي از فنون سخنوري و روشي دقيق براي بيان معنا و مقصود كلام به شمار مي آيد؛ به گونه اي كه گاه ترك چيزي، بليغ تر از ذكر آن است. قرآن كريم كه در اوج فصاحت و بلاغت قرار دارد، از شيوه بلاغي حذف بسيار بهره برده است. نظر به اهميت فوق العاده حذف فعل در قرآن و انعكاس و تاثير آن بر ترجمه هاي فارسي، در پژوهش حاضر، به طرح اسرار بلاغي حذف فعل، انگيزه هاي حذف آن، دلالات معنايي ناشي از حذف آن و نقد و بررسي اهم ترجمه هاي فارسي قرآن در اين موضوع پرداخته شده است. از رهگذر اين جستار، مشخص مي شود كه تاكيد، مبالغه، اختصار و اختصاص از انگيزه هاي بلاغي حذف فعلند. در زمينه نقد ترجمه هاي فارسي اين نتيجه به دست آمد كه چون ساختار حذف فعل در زبان مبدا و مقصد با هم اختلاف دارد، پس ذكر يا حذف آن نيز در ترجمه قرآن يكسان نخواهد بود. از اين رو مترجمان، هنگام برخورد با مواضع حذف فعل در قرآن، شيوه هاي مختلفي برگزيده اند. به اين ترتيب كه در برخي موارد كه ذكر محذوف در ترجمه قرآن خدشه اي وارد نكرده و حتي اگر براي ترجمه درست لازم بوده آورده اند، اما از ذكر غيرضروري محذوف كه دور از هدف و اسرار بلاغي قرآن است، اجتناب ورزيده اند.سس

Ellipsis is a rhetorical skill and an accurate technique used to convey meaning more eloquently. The Holy Quran, which is at the zenith of eloquence and rhetoric, utilizes ellipsis as a rhetorical technique. Given the extreme importance of the verbal ellipsis in the Quran and its reflection and impact on the Persian translations of the Quran, the present study deals with the concept of ‘ellipsis’, rhetorical mysteries of verbal ellipsis, reasons for verbal ellipsis, implications resulting from ellipsis and a review of the Persian translations of the Quran. Through this research, we found out that ‘emphasis’, ‘exaggeration’, ‘brevity’ and ‘specification’ are among the rhetorical purposes of verbal ellipsis. The review of the Persian translations revealed that since the source language and the target language do not have identical vernal ellipsis structure, its appearance or ellipsis in translation will not be identical either. Hence, translators have followed different techniques with respect to verbal ellipsis. At the same time, they have mentioned the omitted segments wherever this has not flawed or has improved the translation of the Quran. Also, they have avoided mentioning the unnecessary omitted segments which could otherwise blemish the rhetorical mysteries of the Quran.
