The Impact of Texture on the Translation of the Holy Quran

بافت و سياق يكي از قرينه هاي مهم فهم مقصود و مدلول كلام است كه در تفسير قرآن كريم از قواعد مهم محسوب مي گردد و مفسران قرآن كريم در بيان معناي آيات از آن بهره گرفته اند. از مهمترين كاركردهاي سياق مي توان به نقش آن در شرح و تبيين واژه، توسعه و تحديد معنا، تشخيص اعراب آيات قرآن، تصحيح سبب نزول و اختيار يك وجه از قرايت و اشاره كرد. اما در ترجمه قرآن هنوز سخني از سياق و اهميت آن وجود ندارد؛ هر چند مترجمان در برخي از موارد چون تعيين معناي كلمه و عبارت و تعيين مرجع ضمير به سياق و بافت كلام توجه دارند؛ اما در مواردي اساسي چون تعيين وجه اعرابي و عامل و قرايت معمولاًتوجهي به سياق نمي شود. اين پژوهش در صدد بيان و اثبات اين فرضيه است كه سياق به عنوان يك قرينه اساسي در فهم معناي آيات، مي تواند به طور غير مستقيم بر ترجمه قرآن كريم اثر داشته باشد. نيز بافت كلام با تعيين يك وجه از اعراب، يا يك وجه از معنا، و تعيين مرجع ضمير و اختيار يك وجه از قرايت و... بر ترجمه اثر دارد. پژوهش حاضر ضمناً نشان مي دهد كه مترجمان قرآن كريم در مواردي همچون تعيين معناي كلمه و عبارت، تعيين مرجع ضمير به سياق توجه دارند؛ اما در تعيين وجه اعرابي متناسب با بافت كلام و قرايت هماهنگ به بافت و سياق توجه اي ندارند و ترجمه هاي موجود از اين جهت هماهنگ با سياق و بافت آيه نيست.

Texture is among the factors which play a significant part in understanding what words signify. It plays a very important role in the interpretation of the Quran as well; hence, it is utilized by the interpreters of the Quran in conveying the meanings of the Quranic verses. Clarification of the meanings of words, expansion and restriction of the meaning, recognition of the grammatical inflection of words in the verses, and rectification of the cause of revelation, and deciding upon a specific way of recitation are among the objectives fulfilled by texture. Texture is not widely used in translating the Quran and it is merely used to determine the meanings of words and phrases and find the antecedents of pronouns. Translators do not usually pay enough attention to texture in such essential cases as determining the structure, context and recitation of the verses. The present article seeks to express and prove this hypothesis, "As a significant element contributing to understanding the meaning of the Quranic verses, texture can indirectly impact the translation of the Holy Quran". Also, texture can impact translation by helping us to determine the grammatical inflection, a particular aspect of meaning, antecedents of pronouns and a specific type of recitation.
