ارتباطات بين‌ فرهنگي: ترجمه و تاثير آن در فرايندهاي جذب و طرد

Intercultural Communication: Translation Its Role in the Inclusion/Exclusion Processes

در اين مقاله از ديدگاه نشانه‌شناسي فرهنگي روابط بين‌ فرهنگي و تاثير ترجمه بر اين روابط و همچنين عملكرد ترجمه در فرايندهاي جذب يا طرد جنبه‌هايي از فرهنگ‌هاي ديگر را بررسي كرده‌ايم. نشان مي‌دهيم كه پويايي فرهنگي محصول ارتباطات بين‌ فرهنگي است و ترجمه، سازوكار اصلي اين گونه ارتباطات است. در جريان ترجمه است كه فرهنگ‌ها بر غناي يكديگر خواهند افزود و در عين ديدار با ديگري فرهنگي، خود را بازتعريف خواهند كرد؛ عناصري از اين ديگري را از آن خود مي‌كنند، و عناصري را بيرون نگه مي‌دارند و به اين ترتيب، مي‌توانند پويايي و سرزندگي خود را حفظ كنند، تاثير بپذيرند و متفاوت باقي بمانند.

In this article, some aspects of the cultural other will be studied from a cultural semiotic point of view, intercultural communication and the role played by translation in such communications and mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion. The paper shows that cultural dynamics is the result of intercultural communication and translation is the main mechanism of such communications. Through translation, cultures meet the cultural other, redefine themselves and are mutually enriched. Each culture appropriates some features of another culture and keeps some other features out, and thus maintains its dynamicity. It influences the other and is influenced by the other, yet preserves it difference.
