تعهد اجتماعي ويكتور هوگو در افسانه قرون

مساله تعهد در ادبيات همواره توجه اديبان بسياري را برانگيخته و بازتاب هاي متفاوتي را در ميان آنان به همراه داشته است. نوعي از تعهد كه در ارتباط با مسايل اجتماعي مطرح و از آن به عنوان تعهد اجتماعي ياد مي شود، از جايگاه ويژه اي در آثار برخي از نويسندگان برخوردار است. اين نوع از تعهد، كه مسيوليت نويسنده نسبت به مشكلات مردم و بيان آلام و آرزوهاي آنان را در كانون توجه خويش قرار مي دهد، در بخشي از آثار ويكتور هوگو، نويسنده بزرگ قرن نوزدهم فرانسه نمود مي يابد. اين نويسنده در بسياري از آثار منظوم و منثور خود به توصيف وضعيت زندگي مردم در جامعه مي پردازد و از شرح مشكلات و دردهاي آن غافل نمي شود. در پژوهش حاضر بر آن هستيم تا مقوله تعهد اجتماعي را در يكي از آثار بزرگ اين نويسنده، يعني افسانه قرون، بررسي كنيم؛ اثري كه بخش عمده اي از آن به مردم و توصيف رنج ها و مرارت هاي آنان اختصاص يافته است

A kind of commitment associated with social problems which has come to be known as social commitment has found a special standing among some of the authors. This kind of commitment that deals with the author’s responsibility to focus on people’s problems and express their sufferings and inspirations has been reflected in some of the works by Victor Hugo, the great 19th century French author. He describes the life situation of the people in the French community in most of his poetry and prose works and never fails to explain their problems and sufferings. In the present research paper, we have studied social commitment in one of his great works entitled “Tale of Centuries”, a work the major part of which has been allocated to people’s lives and the elaboration of their pains and sufferings.
