زمينه‌ها و عوامل شكل‌گيري و توسعه قدرت نظامي خوارزمشاهيان

The Development of Military Power of Khwarazmshahids: Contexts and Causes

خوارزمشاهيان خاستگاه غلامي و نظامي داشتند. استقرار آنان در خوارزم زمينه توسعه‌طلبي سياسي آنان را فراهم آورد؛ اين توسعه‌طلبي بدون اتكا به توان نظامي مناسب و پويايي آن، و اتخاذ تدابير سياسي و نظامي ميسر نبود. دستيابي خوارزمشاهيان به قدرت به واسطه تدابير نظامي بنيانگذاران اين حكومت و برخي زمينه‌ها و امكانات بالقوه‌اي بود كه مسقط الراس حكومتشان در اختيار آنان نهاده بود. برخي از توانمندي‌ها نيز به واسطه تجربيات و امكاناتي بود كه در درگيري‌هاي مداوم آنان با رقبايشان حاصل شده بود. موقعيت سياسي، جغرافيايي، اقتصادي و نظامي خوارزم، پيشينه سياسي حكومت‌هاي مستقر در خوارزم، بهره‌گيري مناسب از اقوام سرزمين‌هاي فراسوي سيحون، كسب تجربيات نظامي و غنايم جنگي حاصل از درگيري با رقبا، از مهم‌ترين زمينه‌ها و عوامل توسعه نظامي خوارزمشاهيان بود. هدف اين مقاله انجام يك پژوهش كتابخانه‌اي ـ تاريخي به منظور بررسي عوامل موثر در ارتقاي نظامي خوارزمشاهيان با استناد به گزارش‌هاي تاريخي و ارزيابي و ميزان تاثيرگذاري هريك از عوامل فوق است.

Khwarazmshahiyan gained military power through slavery positions. Their establishment in Khwarazm paved the way for political expansions – an expansion that was not possible without their reliance on an appropriate military power, and suitable political and military measures. In fact, Khwarazmshahis’ access to power was achieved through the right military measures taken by its founders at the right time and within certain potentially productive contexts provided by central governments. They also gained some of their abilities through experience and by employing the facilities obtained through their ceaseless power struggles with their rivals. Political, military, economic and geographic position of Khwarazm; appropriate utilization of tribal lands from beyond Saihoon River; and gaining military experience and trophies of war from conflicts with rival lands were among the most important factors contributing to the military development of Khwarazmshahids. Drawing upon historical documents, the present article aims at conducting a library- historical research in order to investigate into the influential factors and the extent to which they contribute to the military development of Khwarazmshahids.
