چكيده فارسي :
در غزلي از ديوان حافظ به مطلعِ
دلم جز مهر مهرويان طريقي برنمي‌گيرد
ز هر در مي‌دهم پندش وليكن درنمي‌گيرد
بيتي در همه نسخه‌ها به‌جز نسخه اياصوفيه به صورت زير آمده است:
من آن آيينه را روزي به‌دست‌آرم سكندروار
اگر مي‌گيرد اين آتش زماني ور نمي‌گيرد
اما در نسخه اياصوفيه، مصراع دوم اين بيت به‌شكل زير آمده است:
من آن آيينه را روزي به‌دست آرم سكندروار
اگر مي‌گيرد اين آتشزباني ور نمي‌گيرد
باتوجه به اين‌كه حافظ در همان غزل به آتشزباني خود اشاره دارد:
ميان گريه مي‌خندم كه چون شمع اندرين مجلس
زبان آتشينم هست ليكن در نمي‌گيرد
و شارحان ديوان حافظ، اين ارتباط باريك عمودي ميان ابيات را از نظر دور داشته و متوجه حذف يك نقطه (در حرف «ب») در تركيب «آتشزباني» نشده‌اند، نگارنده اين مقاله، با مراجعه به منابع كهن، درباره اين نكته مهمّ كه معني بيت را بسيار روشن مي‌كند، بحث كرده كه اميد است در نظر نكته‌دانان پذيرفته باشد.

In a ghazal with the opening verse “Save the love of those moon of face, a path my heart to it, in every way, I give counsel, but it”. (tran. by H. W. Clarke)
H?fiz Says:
“One day, like Alexander, I shall bring to hand that mirror, if this fire, seize it, for a moment, it kindleth not”.
Except in the Hagia Sophia edition, in all the other editions the above verse is recorded as it is presented here.
But in the Hagia Sophia edition, the very same verse in recorded as follows:
“One day, like Alexander, I shall bring to hand that mirror, if this tongue, seize it, for a moment, it kindleth not.”
In another verse of the Ghazal, H?fiz says:
“In the midst of weeping, I laugh, because like the candle in this assembly. The fierly tongue is mine; but it kindleth not”.
The present article will discuss that the commentators of Divan-e-H?fez have not noticed the last verse which contains the concept of “the fiery tongue”.
