ادبيّات هر دوره، آيينه تمام نماي هويّت تاريخي، فرهنگي، سياسي و ملّي آن دوره است و براي شناخت مسايل جاري و آرا و انديشه هاي مطرح آن دوره يكي از منابع دست اوّل محسوب مي‌شود. در ميان آثار ادبي ما، شاهنامه حكيم ابوالقاسم فردوسي، بهترين گنجينه براي معرّفي تاريخ، فرهنگ و هويّت سياسي و ملّي ايرانيان محسوب مي گردد و در مسير باز توليد هويّت سياسي ايرانيان، نقشي انكار ناپذير دارد. شاهنامه آيينه اي درخشان است كه هويّت سياسي ايراني را به صورت تمام رخ به نمايش گذاشته است. در مقاله حاضر با روش توصيفي- تحليلي هويّت سياسي در شاهنامه فردوسي مورد بررسي قرار گرفته و ضمن روشن كردن بحث در چارچوب نظري و مفهومي، به بررسي جلوه هاي مختلف آن در شاهنامه پرداخته شده است. ابتدا با مراجعه به متن شاهنامه شواهد و مصاديق مرتبط با مولفه هاي هويّت سياسي ايرانيان جمع‌آوري شده و سپس در چارچوب هدف تنظيم و تدوين گرديده است.

Among our literature, Shahnameh of Firdowsi is the best treasure to introduce the history, culture, national and political identity of Iranians. Shahnameh has had an undeniable role in reproducing the Iranian political identity. The Shahnameh is a bright mirror to display Iranian political identity in full face mode. Relying on a descriptive – analytical method, the present paper tends to examine the political identity of Iranians as it is reflected in the Shahnameh of Firdowsi. By illuminating discussions in the light of a theoretical and conceptual framework, the paper investigates different manifestations of Iranian political identity in Shahnameh. By referring to the text of Shahnameh, the evidence and examples related to Iranian political identity are collected and formulated.
