بررسي عوامل موثر در تصميم گيري دانش آموزان سال چهارم دبيرستان براي ادامه تحصيل در دانشگاه

Examining Factors Influencing Fourth Grade High School Studentsʹ Decision to Continue Their Education in University

هدف از اين مطالعه شناسايي عوامل موثر در تصميم گيري دانش آموزان سال چهارم دبيرستان براي ادامه تحصيل در دانشگاه بود. براي انجام اين پژوهش از روش پيمايشي استفاده و داده ها با بهره گيري از پرسشنامه‌اي محقق ساخته گردآوري شد. جامعه آماري پژوهش حاضر شامل كليه(6175N=) دانش آموزان دختر و پسر سال چهارم دبيرستان كه در سال تحصيلي 90- 1389 در سه رشته رياضي فيزيك، علوم تجربي و علوم انساني در دبيرستان هاي دولتي شهر كرمانشاه مشغول به تحصيل بودند. از اين ميان 540 نفر با استفاده از روش نمونه گيري خوشه اي چند مرحله اي و به طور تصادفي انتخاب شدند. داده ها با استفاده از ميانگين رتبه اي و آزمون فريدمن مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. از تجزيه و تحليل داده ها اين نتايج بدست آمد: در بين عوامل فردي- روانشناختي، علاقه ، خودپنداره تحصيلي بالا و كسب شناخت، در بين عوامل خانوادگي، انتظار والدين مبني بر افتخارآفريني فرزندشان، اهميت بالاي درس خواندن براي خانواده و تمايل والدين، در بين عوامل اجتماعي- فرهنگي، منزلت اجتماعي، تعاملات اجتماعي، اهميت دانشجو بودن در ميان خويشاوندان و تاثير دوستان، در بين عوامل اقتصادي، يافتن شغل مناسب، كسب درآمد و تلقي كردن تحصيلات به عنوان سرمايه گذاري، و در بين عوامل آموزشگاهي، رشته تحصيلي، تشويق معلمان و رقابت با همكلاسي ها به ترتيب مهم ترين عوامل شناخته شدند.

T he purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing fourth-grade high school studentsʹ decision-making to continue their education in university. Survey method was used and the data was collected through using a researcher-made questionnaire. The population of the study consisted of all (N= 6175) male and female students in fourth grade public high schools in Kermanshah. These students were majoring in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Humanities during the academic year of 1389-90. Five hundred forty participants were selected randomly by means of multi-stage cluster sampling. The data was analyzed through mean rank and Freidman test. The results of analysis were as follows: 1) among personal-cognitive factors, enthusiasm to continue education, high educational self-concept, and knowledge-gaining , 2) among familial factors, the parentsʹ expectation of their children to enter university in order to bring honor for the family, high value of studying for the family members and the parentsʹ tendency for their children entering university, 3) among social-cultural factors, high social status, enhancing social interactions, the significance of being a university student among relatives and friends, 4) among the economic factors, finding a good job, having higher income, and studentsʹ beliefs considering academic education as a sort of investment and 5) among scholastic factors, field of study, teachersʹ persuasion, and competition with classmates were the major influential factors in studentsʹ decisions to continue their education in university.
