در نوشتار پيش رو، ابتدا سناريوهاي اصلي درباره آينده جهان مطرح مي‌شود، آن‌گاه با توجه به تداوم وضعيت موجود در سطح جهان، سناريوي «جهان قلعه‌اي» به عنوان محتمل‌ترين سرنوشت بشر تشريح و تبيين مي‌گردد. در ادامه نقش ايالات متحده در حفظ هژموني «سرمايه‌داري فاجعه» بررسي مي‌شود و خواهيم ديد كه تداوم وضع موجود مي‌تواند عامل سقوط در آستانه بربريت باشد. در نهايت نيز با تحليل فيلم‌هاي پرفروش و بحث‌برانگيزي چون 2012، آرماگدون و روز استقلال، نمايش اين آخرالزمان جهان قلعه‌اي را به مثابه ايماژي تلخ، اما روشن‌گر از آينده جهان در صورت به چالش نكشيدن هژموني مذكور مورد واكاوي قرار خواهيم داد

In the following paper, the main scenarios about the future of the world are explained at the beginning , then the scenario of ʹthe world like a castleʹ will be determined and analyzed as the most likely destiny of the human beings by considering the persistence of the current status quo in all levels of the world. After that, the role of the United States in keeping and protecting the hegemony of ʹdisastrous capitalismʹ will be discussed and we will see that the persistency of the current situation can be a factor to a fall and failure on the threshold of barbarity. Finally by analyzing the best seller and controversial movies such as: 2012, Armageddon and the Independence Day, we evaluate the show of this depiction of the final day and revise the theory of ʹthe world like a castleʹ as a bitter but awakening image of the future of the world, provided that there will be no challenge to the hegemony that we mentioned earlier.
