شناخت ويژگي‌هاي شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي و اثرات آنها بر روابط بين‌فردي نوجوانان

Virtual Social Networks Characteristics and Their Effects on Teenagers’ Interpersonal Relationships

استفاده نوجوان از اينترنت در سال‌هاي اخير، بويژه با هدف گسترش روابط و پيوند‌هاي اجتماعي به شدت افزايش يافته و روابط آنلاين به بخشي جدانشدني از فرهنگ و زندگي اجتماعي آنان تبديل شده است. شناخت ماهيت و ويژگي‌هاي ساختاري شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي، بررسي اثرات شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي بر روابط بين فردي نوجوانان، آشنايي با اثرات شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي بر تنش‌هاي خانوادگي و شناخت اثرات شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي بر مهارت‌هاي تحصيلي نوجوانان از جمله اهداف مهم اين مطالعه بوده است. روش اين پژوهش اسنادي و مراجعه به پژوهش‌هاي مختلف بوده است. يافته‌ها نشان مي‌دهد: 1. اينترنت، دنياي نوجوانان و روابط آنان را با همسالانشان گسترش داده و راه‌هاي ارتباطي جديدي را با افرادي كه بيرون از اجتماع نزديك آنها هستند، فراتر از مكان، سن، جنس، نژاد، قوم، زبان و ... فراهم كرده است؛ 2. ازجمله اثرات فنّاوري اطلاعات و ارتباطات بر خانواده‌هاي داراي نوجوان، متنوع‌سازي شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي، به چالش كشيدن سلسله مراتب در خانواده، به چالش كشيدن خودمختاري نوجوانان و شكاف انتظارات است و 3. براي شناخت ويژگي‌هاي ساختاري شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي از هشت عامل: اندازه شبكه، شباهت، تعدد منابع، تعدد رسانه‌ها، مركزيت، تراكم، قدرت پيوند‌ها و عمل متقابل مي‌توان استفاده كرد. نتيجه آنكه، تمركز مطالعات آينده بايد به طور همزمان بر ويژگي‌هاي اجتماعي و رسانه‌ها باشد تا مشخص شود كدام گروه‌هاي اجتماعي از پيوندهاي آنلاين بهره بيشتري مي‌برند.

Internet use among teenagers has been considerably increased during recent years in such a way that web communication has become an integral part of teenagers’ life and culture. The purpose of this paper is then to investigate the nature and structural characteristics of virtual social networks, their effects on teenagers’ interpersonal relationships, families’ tension and teenagers’ educational skills. Through consulting different researches, the author reached the following conclusions: 1. Internet has developed teenagers’ world and their relationships with peers and has provided them with new ways of communication with those being out of their near society; 2. Information and Communication Technology has consequences in families with teenagers including diversification of virtual social networks, challenging family hierarchy and teenagers’ independence, and also expectations gap; 3. It is possible to recognize the structural characteristics of virtual social networks by using 8 factors: network size, similarity, resources, media, centrality, density, relationship strength, and interaction. As a result, future studies must simultaneously focus on social characteristics and the media in order to ascertain which social group takes advantage of online relationships more.
