بررسي ميزان بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي تصاوير پانوراميك آنالوگ در نواحي مختلف دو فك

Magnification of analog panoramic images in different areas of jaws

چكيده مقدمه: با توجه به كاربردهاي مختلف راديوگرافي پانوراميك در دندان‌پزشكي، تعيين ميزان تغييرات ابعادي در هر منطقه از تصوير مي‌تواند در كاربرد باليني بهتر آن موثر باشد. هدف از اين مطالعه، تعيين ميزان بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي مناطق مختلف دو فك در تصاوير پانوراميك آنالوگ بود. مواد و روش‌ها: در اين مطالعه توصيفي- تحليلي، تعداد 10 عدد جمجمه خشك انسان توسط گوتاپركا در نواحي مختلف دنداني (سانترال، لترال، كانين، پر مولرهاي اول و دوم و مولرهاي اول و دوم) در فواصل افقي و عمودي نشان‌دار شده و تصاوير از هر جمجمه توسط دو دستگاه پانوراميك آنالوگ Soredex Cranex-Tome، Planmeca XC تهيه شد. اندازه‌گيري بر روي جمجمه‌ها و راديوگرافي‌ها توسط دو مشاهده‌گر به طور مستقل انجام شد. داده‌ها در نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 18 وارد گرديد. بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي در هر ناحيه محاسبه و اختلاف آن با بزرگ‌نمايي اعلام شده توسط كارخانه سازنده در هر دستگاه در سطح معني‌داري 95/0 محاسبه شد. ضريب ارتباط بينابيني در هر مشاهده‌گر و بين مشاهده‌گران به دست آمد. يافته‌ها: ميانگين بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي در دستگاه Planmeca XC به ترتيب 15/0 ± 04/1 و 08/0 ± 15/1 و اختلاف ميانگين بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي با بزرگ‌نمايي اعلام شده توسط كارخانه سازنده به ترتيب 046/0- و 15/0- بود. ميانگين بزرگ‌نمايي افقي و عمودي در دستگاه Soredex cranex-tome به ترتيب 15/0 ± 05/1 و 08/0 ± 17/1 گزارش گرديد و اختلاف آن‌ها با بزرگ‌نمايي اعلام شده توسط كارخانه سازنده به ترتيب 12/0- و 24/0- بود. ضريب ارتباط بينابيني در هر مشاهده‌گر 98 درصد و بين مشاهده‌گران 95 درصد به دست آمد نتيجه‌‌گيري: با در نظر گرفتن محدوديت‌هاي مطالعه حاضر، بزرگ‌نمايي‌هاي افقي و عمودي اعلام شده توسط كارخانه سازنده با كاربرد هر دو دستگاه در مناطق مختلف دو فك قابل اطمينان مي‌باشد. كليد واژه‌ها: جمجمه خشك انسان، راديوگرافي پانوراميك، بزرگ‌نمايي راديوگرافي

Abstract Introduction: Considering the diverse uses of panoramic radiographs in dentistry, precise measurement of dimensional changes in each region of the radiograph can be effective in their clinical application. The aim of the present study was to examine the horizontal and vertical magnification of different areas of the jaws on analog panoramic radiographs. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive analytical study, 10 dry human skulls were marked by gutta-percha in different horizontal and vertical dental areas (central, lateral, canine, first and second premolar and first and second molar areas) and radiographs were then prepared from each skull using two analog panoramic machines (Planmeca XC and Soredex Cranex-Tome). Measurement on the skulls and radiographs were independently carried out by two observers. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18 software. Horizontal and vertical magnifications were computed in each region and compared with the values reported by the manufacturer at a significance level of 95%. Inter-class correlation coefficients (ICC) were calculated for each observer and between observers. Results: The magnification means in transverse and vertical dimensions with Planmeca XC were 1.04 ± 0.15 and 1.15 ± 0.08, respectively, yielding differences of -0.046 and -0.15 from the values reported by the manufacturer. The magnification means in transverse and vertical dimensions with Soredex Cranex-Tome were 1.05 ± 0.15 and 1.17 ± 0.08, respectively, yielding differences of -0.12 and -0.24 from the values reported by the manufacturer. The intra-observer and inter-observer ICCs were 98% and 95%, respectively. Conclusion: Under the limitations of the present study, the magnification means in vertical and horizontal dimensions in various regions of the jaws, reported by manufactures, are reliable.
