ارتباط سرطان و سطح آديپونكتين سرم: مروري بر شواهد اپيدميولوژيك

Association between cancer and serum adiponectin level: The review of epidemiologic evidences

چكيده: آديپونكتين يكي از آديپوكين هاي ترشح شده از بافت چربي است كه ويژگي هاي ضد التهاب، ضد چاقي و ضد ديابت دارد. مطالعات بسياري به بررسي ارتباط بين سطح آديپونكتين سرم و سرطان هاي مختلف پرداخته اند؛ هدف مطالعه حاضر مروري بر شواهد موجود در مورد ارتباط هورمون آديپونكتين و سرطان مي باشد. روش بررسي: در اين مطالعه ي مروري، مقالات با طراحي مورد شاهدي، مقطعي و آينده نگر با استفاده از پايگاه اطلاعاتي PubMed در محدوده زماني بين سال هاي 2002 تا 2011 و با استفاده از كليد واژه هايي همچون cancer، malignancy، cell proliferation و adiponectin جستجو شدند. يافته ها: از مجموع 45 مقاله مورد بررسي، شواهد بيان كننده ي ارتباط معكوس ميان سطح هورمون آديپونكتين و خطر سرطان سينه مي باشند. اين ارتباط در مطالعات مورد-شاهدي و آينده نگر، هم در زنان قبل از سن يايسگي و هم در زنان بعد از سن يايسگي مشاهده شد. خطر سرطان اندومتر در زناني كه سطح آديپونكتين پلاسمايي بالا داشتند، نسبت به افرادي كه سطح پاييني از آديپونكتين داشتند، كمتر و خطر سرطان پروستات و هايپرپلازي خوش خيم پروستات در مردان با سطح پايين هورمون بيشتر از ساير افراد بود. مطالعات حاكي از ارتباط معكوس ميان غلظت سرمي هورمون آديپونكتين، با خطر سرطان سرطان كولوركتال است. همچنين به نظر مي رسد ارتباط معكوس ميان غلظت آديپونكتين پلاسما و سرطان پانكراس در مردان وجود داشته باشد. نتيجه گيري: چنين استنباط مي شود كه سطح آديپونكتين سرم ارتباط معكوس قابل ملاحظه اي با خطر سرطان هاي مختلف داشته باشد. اين هورمون از طريق مكانيسم هاي مختلف، مستقيم يا غير مستقيم، رشد و تكثير سلول هاي سرطاني را مهار مي كند.

Background and aims: Adiponectin, an adipose tissue derived adipokines, has anti-inflammatory, anti-obesity and anti-diabetic properties. There are several studies investigated the association between this hormone and different types of cancer. In present research, the study aimed to review the relationship between adiponectin and cancers. Methods: In this review study, various articles as following: case control, cross sectional and longitudinal studies have been found through PubMed database from 2002 to October 2011, by using the following key words: cancer, malignancy, cell proliferation and adiponectin. Result: From the total number of 45 articles, evidences proved the inverse association between the hormone and the risk of breast cancer, in which has been shown both cohort and case-control studies, in pre- and post- menopausal women. Endometrial cancer risk was significantly lower in women with higher plasma adiponectin level compared to women with lower level of hormone. Risk of benign prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer were higher in men with lower level of adiponectin concentration. Studies have shown the inverse correlation between the mentioned hormone and risk of colorectal cancer. Also, it seems that adiponectin inversely associates with pancreatic cancer in men. Conclusion: It seems that serum adiponectin level has inversely associated with risk of several cancers; this hormone suppresses the growth and proliferation of cancer cells, direct or indirect, via several mechanisms.
